I'm always looking for other artists/bands to add to my music library, especially in quiet U2 times like these. Maybe this is a good idea to share here (new) artists/bands that you recently discovered and like, as U2 fans in general most of the times seem to have the same taste
Any recommendations to start with?
I'll give you a horribly underrated amazing band. The Afghan Whigs. Their album Gentlemen is a masterpiece. I need to get more of their albums but they're a bit hard to find (if you don't want to pay a fortune). Gentlemen though, shouldn't be hard to find.
They have a bit of the Actobat guitar sound with more grit. And their music is very dark.
Thanks Olof Better get my Spotify started.
Reptar. Obscure but lovely.
Los Campesinos!
I've noticed Sergio rave about them a lot, and he has seen them live too. I'll be seeing them live soon as well.
They are an excellent indie band, but they not the type of indie band that's right in your face. They make these beautiful songs which are either really upbeat and catchy, or dark and wonderful.
If anyone has seen the Budweiser advert with the song in the background that gets gradually quicker: that's a song by Los Campesinos! called 'You! Me! Dancing!'.

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE WITH THIS POST.
And now I turn off my caps and rave about them in a more logical way Kieran is right. They are not the kind of indie band who just has 3 guitar chords and a skilled drummer. They're a 7 piece band where everyone has something to say and play, and they deliver some excellent songs, crafted with love and built with complexity but sometimes also with a special fury and fast pace.
