1. really been getting into these guys recently; if you're into MGMT or any of that synthpop-type indie stuff i definitely recommend them.

    a couple of top tunes:

  2. saw these at Glastonbury and at Latitude last week and I agree they are definately well worth a listen. I think they have a big future ahead of them.
  3. they're great. going to see them at lollapalooza in two weeks

  4. You're going?! We have to meet up! All 3 days or just one? PM me!!
  5. Just bought their album. Wicked debut album. Have to say I like them a lot better than MGMT. Not that it's a competition, but I keep hearing them being compared to eachother. MGMT is (to me) way more dance oriented and experimental, whereas these guys definitely have a specific sound. Other-worldly while keeping it real (hence I Would Do Anything For You - amazing song, reminds me of April Wine a bit). They're out there, but still in there, you know? Can't wait to see these guys live (hopefully) and to see what they do next. For now I'll just enjoy Torches. Great, great album.
  6. Really liked all their singles till now. Can't wait to see them at Lolla Brazil in April.

Oh, Helena Beat is my favorite song.
  7. Up with the topic...

Those guys really surprised me yesterday. I really wanted to see them, but I wasn't expecting something huge. After the end of the night, my thought was: Foster The Peoples show was better than Arctic Monkeys awesome gig.

I really loved the way their songs sounded live. They were more rock and roll and less pop music, with a very powerfull drummer and some nice guitar solos. The perfect combination of rock and dance songs.

Also, Mark really know how to interact with people, and they have such a nice energy onstage! Lots of people were there just to see Arctic Monkeys and didnt care much about other bands, but after 2 or 3 songs, all the attention on the festival was with Foster The People.

2 of the best moments were...

Really want to see more from this guys soon!
  8. I love them. Love them. Love them. Love them. Love them. Honestly, I can't put the album down. I don't just dip in for a specific track, when I'm ready to Foster, the whole album gets a run through. Fantastic.

Missed the chance to see them live unless I can get tickets via a less official source. Just been watching some of their live stuff on YouTube, would've been a blast. That second video, Pumped Up Kicks, looks like Mark Foster attempting a Bono circa 1985.

I can't wait to hear more from these guys. But until then, I'm nowhere near getting tired of Torches.
  9. I posted for the streaming track

    My fault, could've been clearer
  10. I hate those fuckers with the passion of 1,000,000 suns.
