    "My most special concerts, of the 63 I've visited, were the ones in Miami (2011) and New York (in 2005)"

    Tell us something about yourself, who are you and what do you do for a living?
    my name is Edwin "Eddie" Beckers and i am living in Kerkrade in The
    Netherlands....i am working as a plumber.

    How did you become a fan of U2, tell us how it happened?
    in 1982 was my 2 year older brother JP listening to the song Sunday
    Bloody Sunday, he gets the WAR album from your uncle.
    i like the riffles of the drums on that song...later i discover that
    they called U2 , strange name i thought at that time...but i was at that
    time 10 years old.....

    You've visited a lot of different U2 shows, tell us something about how this long journey came together?
    my first u2 shows was in 1987 in Cologne with my brother and 2
    neighbor's and they where fan of the popband Queen.
    where also go with us four to Rotterdam and Brussels.....

    What was the most special show of the ones you visited?
    that's very difficult.....i think my special concert's was in New York
    2 (in 2005) and in Miami (2011)
    why, because the location is on the orher site of the world....the
    most concert in Europe is easy to travel.....my greatest wish is a gig in
    Dublin next year.

    In your opinion, what has been U2's defining moment and why?
    i'll think LIVE AID, that they reach the world?

    What does your U2 collection look like? What kind of stuff do you have
    and how is it organised?

    i am collected U2 Books and Bootlegs.

    Does anyone in your family or one of your friends like U2? If so, did they introduce you to U2, or did you "convert" them?
    yeach my girlfriend Monique and 2 friends of mine (Marcel and Nick)

    Which U2 song do you feel the most "attached" to, or means the most for you?
    i have more songs that me attached , Bad is my favorite and Kite, In A
    Little While and Mercy.

    How different is U2 compared to other artists that you like?
    i'll think Snow Patrol or Coldplay?

    What are your hobbies and interests away from U2, musical or otherwise?
    sattelite tv and football club Ajax.

  3. 63 shows! Wow Eddie! That is just a tiny bit more than I have seen Prince and U2 COMBINED!!! I was at Miami 2011, and remember getting blank stares from those around me when I knew most of the lyrics to "North Star." I wonder if you experienced anyone who knew the song that night? I mentioned Live Aid as U2's # 2 defining moment when I was fan of the month last month...it has to be in everyone's top 2 methinks! Thanks for sharing the info.

  9. i just found out from my mom that i seen U2 earlier than 1987
