1. We have a new You Too poll, you can vote for this new poll on the frontpage and discuss it in this thread.

The question of this new You Too is:

You Too: How many Joshua Tree Tour 2017 shows will you attend?
    - None
    - One
    - 2 to 5
    - 6 to 10
    - More than 10

Please vote on the frontpage of the website, in this topic you can tell us why you voted for your answer.
  2. I'm happy that I will attend 2 shows. My wallet don't allow me to travel the world to see U2. I realize how lucky I am that they will do shows in The Netherlands. I don't expect much setlist change so 2 shows is enough for me.
  3. One.

    The ONE AND ONLY.

  4. Definitely three. Slim chance of a fourth.
  5. Both Rose Bowl shows for me. Show locations & my finances don't lend to me going to anymore than that.
  6. Some U2fans are lucky to have a deep wallet. I'm curious to know how much they spend on their U2 holiday. Tickets are not cheap. How can they afford more than 10 shows?

Does anyone know the record for most u2 shows attended by 1 person? Either on here or just in general. Even 10 shows within close proximity would be bound to cost a couple of grand doing it ultra cheap, tickets alone would be about a grand or more.
  8. I'm not rich by any means but I plan years in advance for a tour. Hell, I started planning for the I+E tour in 2011. Ended up seeing 20 shows in three countries. This tour I'll see north of 10 shows.

I get to travel a few times a year for work and I keep all those airline miles and rental car points for myself and future U2 shows.

I have an amazing credit card that gives me incredible points that I can apply 1:1 for airline miles as well. So big purchases during off years get put on that card and paid off and then the points used for U2.

I'm in Chicago and I've seen the past 20 shows they have done here and I'll see the next two as well. That's 22 shows where it only costs me the price of admission; no travel expenses.

I'm not bragging and not finding fault with people who cannot afford to travel. I know I'm incredibly lucky to have these opportunities and I encourage anyone who is considering doing this type of thing to find a way and do it.

Earning a lot, and saving a lot. That's all.
  10. I guess so. Anyway, to attend more than 10 shows in 1987 is a different situation than 2017, comparing the ticket prices.
  11. What should I answer, when I visit 5?
    2 to 5, or 5 to 10?
    The questions should be:
    One
    2 to 5
    6 ! To 10
    More than 10
  12. We hope to see 3 shows Paris, Netherlands and Brussel!
