The single version is a slightly different mix, you can here a second guitar and the backing vocals are more prominent - at least my old 7'' sounds different.
I prefer the long intro, of course, although the version they played on some 1987 dates with no intro at all is kinda cool, too.
  4. Haven't been around for a little while, but that box set is mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It's all stuff we've seen before!

I was really hoping for a video show we haven't seen/had yet (Tempe comes to mind...). What a missed opportunity

I blame Guy O'Seary (is that correct?) for the poor managing decisions these last years. Who thought that putting the band answering lame questions with shitty stream was a good idea? Lame subscription gifts and now this JT package which is a rip- off for long time fans.

Hopefully the subscriber gift is the one for the fans...........................................................................

    not holding my breath
  7. Too tired, and lazy to see if I already responded to this thread. My memory is about as bad as Cash McCashes talking about how much money we will effortlessly fork out for box sets. Ol Paul was right, but the content is the key, and they blew it. But as I have mellowed out in my old age, I like to thank the band for all the joy they have given me over the years, but if I really love them, I do give them the younger brotherly FU for sticking it to us lol.
  8. I wonder if when you buy the vinyl box set will the download code be mp3 or WAV format. Anyone seen the details yet ?

I unfortunately have to agree. I won't buy the box set but I will see them on the 30th anniversary tour which maybe the last time I see them. They have become pretty much what they used to hate and I still hate. A big corporate machine who seems to be all about money, hanging with celebrities, and out of touch with their fans. There have been very few things I have seen them do in the last 3 years that made me go "yeah, they are still a good group." I just think the best years are long gone and they are only "good" at business. The music I think left them after the POP tour. But then again what a career up until then!! Definitely thankful for those years and all of that great music. Will always treasure those times.
