That's the superficial stuff and misses the mark.

U2 sets themselves apart in the soul/passion department.

There's so much deeper meaning in many U2 songs and when they are delivered live in a passionate way, they cannot be compared to other musicians who may be more technically sound.

Soul does not come from the same place as technical prowess.

Don't get me wrong... I love Phish and have seen them far, FAR more times than U2, but I don't see them or listen to them for the same reasons that I do U2.

That said, it's hard to tap that soul or passion when the band is flubbing along.
  3. Other people's "bitching" can only take away from your enjoyment if you allow it to.
  4. I thought it was a good night!
  5. I have nothing to bitch about, sure they make some mistakes, but they are humans as well and they are 57 and still touring! That's just my thoughts about it.

Indeed, and they are a band that gets into touring. By the time they get to Europe they usually have the sound down. And touring at that age? I take my hat off.

I saw Coldplay at the Rose Bowl from the seats I found it amazing. Granted, I didn't have nosebleeds, but I definitely didn't have front row seats. I think the Rose Bowl has a large amount of great seats.

  9. Bono's mistakes never have really bothered me. I can't remember lyrics to songs I have written. I kind of love the one bootleg where he totally is getting lost in "One." I wish I could remember what tour it was, but he totally skipped the second verse. I'd rather there be some real mistakes than a backing tape doing everything. I probably am one of the few here still wishing for a DVD release of the Las Vegas Popmart travesty. To this day, nobody has even offered to get me a dvd copy for money, which I probably would get in trouble for offering, so that offer is no longer on the table lol. My hard drive died, so I can't download anything I'm only able to post from library computers now
