1. In this new series we will be regularly interviewing fans during the tour to ask them about their personal experiences. Today we have an interview with jdoyle84, who attended the Cleveland show on July 1st. It was his first U2 show!

" Mysterious Ways was also incredible as well"

You waited 6 years to attend a show. What are your feeling after attending the show?
Great see the band preforming live. Love the outdoor shows.

Where were you standing or seating in the venue? How was the spot?
My group was about 8 rows from the main stage and about 5 from the catwalk on the floor. Nearly perfect spot to get both stages in view.

What do you think of the band? Is it true that they are not emotionally involved in this tour?
I'd disagree for that show. Seemed very into at the Cleveland show.

Was a JT song the best performance of the night? If not, why?
Bullet the Sky was straight fire tonight. The Edge's guitar reaffirmed to me why this one of his best tracks. Mysterious Ways was also incredible as well.

The first leg is over. What are your overall thoughts on JT30 tour so far? Could the band improve anything?
I have mixed feelings. I love that they play the entire Joshua Tree album, but I'd love to see them mix in some older songs that the die hard fans would love. Pipe dream I know. My only complaint was the GA line to get in. I think that's just on the site though

    Thanks Justin!
  2. Thanks, Justin. I was at this show too and also had thought they sounded great. Bullet and MW were definite highlights. Maybe we're in the minority in loving stadium shows?

Something magical when you have 50,000 plus coming together.
  4. I did not see Cleveland but 4 other shows this tour and totally agree, the vibe of these stadium shows has been great!
  5. Awesome interview and congrats on your first U2 live experience! Having seen them 5 times now, I'll say the first time definitely sticks with me as one of my fondest memories. However, this band never fails to impress me and every time I see them it feels like they've brought something new to the table. Stadium logistics can be nightmarish, but I agree there's something magical about the sheer number of people sharing the experience with you that makes it all worth it in the end.

6th concert. First since 2011. My first show was at Notre Dame in 2001. I also enjoyed taking a few friends who have never seen U2 live though. That in it self was a treat.

Wow disregard whatever I said about the first time, you've been seeing them longer than I have.
