1. We have a new You Too poll, you can vote for this new poll on the frontpage and discuss it in this thread.

The question of this new You Too is:

You Too: How would you rate The Blackout after your first few listens?
5 stars - could be one of their best
4 stars - very good, better than I expected
    3 stars - a decent U2 song
    2 stars - I expected a bit more
    1 star - disappointing

Please vote on the frontpage of the website, in this topic you can tell us why you voted for your answer.
  2. Gave it 2 stars, a good song but like invisible I can see myself forgetting about it after a while, I don't know hopefully it stays in my music playlist. It's very catchy as is the idea.
  3. 4 stars - very good, better than I expected

A better lead "single" (even if it's technically not a single at all) than Invisible, The Miracle, GOYB and virtually anything since Vertigo. Not speaking about the quality of the songs but about the potential outreach.
  4. This song is kick ass, i rate this a 5. I've been listening to this song on repeat for over an hour. I love that opening. Especially the bass playing. Hope they play this in San Diego!
  5. Three stare For now.just played once
When i'll be used to it i'll vote again
    Catchy song.good bass tune.punk attitude
  6. 5.- full of energy!
  7. 4 stars.
  8. Could say 4.5 under the pretext that it could be the best song of SoE?

  9. 3 stars, I like the way they are going with it, but 4 or 5 would be to much in comparison with other songs

    Agree completely.
  11. Liking it after about 10 listens.

Surely there's an intermediary point between being 'very good' and 'one of their best'? So, in terms of the options, a 4, but not necessarily that I wasn't expecting it to be very good.

Miles better than The Miracle anyway. Thank fuck there are no "oh, oh, ohs".

But I don't think it's better than, say, Vertigo, or Elevation...
