Ticket sale priorities: when does which sale happen and when is it my turn?

First priority: Those who have a U2.com paid account and are verified to be in the eXPERIENCE group. For day 1 of presale.

Second priority: Those who have a U2.com paid account and are verified to be in the iNNOCENCe group. For day 2 of presale.

Third priority: Those who purchased an album (via selected stores in selected countries) in Europe can buy tickets for European shows with their code. Codes will be send just before presales happen so be patient.

    Last priority: General sale.
On eXPERIENCe and iNNOCENCE: which group am I in?

(you will find in which group you are on your U2.com profile: www.u2.com/profile)

The eXPERIENCE Group of longtime Subscribers are members who were current, paid Subscribers on December 24, 2016 and have maintained their paid status without lapsing. These Subscribers will have access on the first day of the Verified Subscriber Presale and will use a Presale access code to unlock ticket inventory. The codes will use the prefix: U18A followed by a unique (x) digit access code.

The iNNOCENCE Group are Subscribers who joined or upgraded an expired account after December 25, 2016. These Subscribers will have access on the second day of the Verified Subscriber Presale and will use a Presale access code to unlock ticket inventory. The codes will use the prefix: U18B followed by a unique (x) digit access code.
When and if get second or third/fourth shows announced?

Expect cities with one show to get one more the day after, and cities with two shows to get two more two days later. U2 has a rhythm of having two days off between two shows, so keep that in mind. The whole itinerary adds up that way.
    Why are tickets so expensive?

It seems U2 follows the new concert ticketing strategy. Gone are the days of instant sellouts and here are the day sof "slow sales",
high prices etc. One LiveNation representative said that "if fans are willing to pay double the ticket price on reseller markets,
we might as well charge it already at the beginning". This way they earn money that they otherwise "miss out on". This is also why there's no such things like names on tickets or paperless entry, this would make reselling more difficult. Reselling is what Ticketmaster/Livenation want, that way they can earn money on the same ticket multiple times.

This is an interesting article explaining some of the changes: https://www.billboard.com/articles/business/8070644/taylor-swift-concert-industry-slow-ticketing-model-sales
Will I get a presale code if I subscribe to U2.com now?

Yes, you will receive an Innocence presale code.

  2. Cross-posting my question here from the general tour thread:

For those of you who have been around the block with GA tickets for longer than I have--what are my chances of getting GA tickets for DC on the second day of the presale? (I'm in the Innocence group since I signed up for the fan club right before the Joshua Tree Tour...didn't have the ability to get to GA shows before.) I plan on being ready to go right at 10 AM. You think I've still got a decent shot, even though it's an arena?

Yes, I was in the 2nd group for I+E and I had only 1 row of people in front of me at the front of the stage.
  4. Great! So you didn't have any issues getting GA tickets? /did you hear of other people having issues getting GA tickets in the second wave of the presale?

No I had 0 issues, and I don't know if anyone else had problems.
  6. Anyone still confused about the whole "every ticket purchased comes with the brand new album SOE" language on the front page of U2.com? Why would I pre-order the album now if I can get it for free if/when I buy tickets?

Christmas presents for the less cultured in your life?
  8. So if my Ticketmaster super fan thing is green and good to go but my account started in January do I need to renew. Given I've used all 4 tickets from JT. I think I need to renew but if someone can confirm my suspicions that'd be great.

Does it say "Setup Incomplete" in a big red box on the left side of your account screen?
