1. I disliked showman for 2 weeks. Something happened and now I love it.

  2. That is the lowest bar possible...moving it from 14th to 13th.....IMHO
  3. the question is: the people expect that U2's gonna release a new achtung baby every year, or people need to proove that the band is not that relevant anymore and now every album need to sound like a "U2 classic album" to be considered a "great U2" album?

I think some people just think they know better than the band what would make a great u2 album or at least some people are very determined about what they want from a u2 album and if they don’t get it they will be disappointed. Don’t get me wrong I do think there’s different routes the band could have went with this album. If they really wanted to I think they’ve got a heavy and/or more experimental album in them but I’m delighted with what we got instead. I think SOE brings out the best of a different side to u2. I do think fans need to be a little more open minded at times, but that’s only my view, I certainly won’t be telling people how to feel about an album or music in general.
  5. This is the first album where I think that the at least good songs is still good and have atmosphere.
I can avoid skipping those songs for first time.
    The "meh" still got something.
The songs that didnt do much for me when I listend to the songs first time, Summer Of Love and Lights Of Home now is good songs.

    Amen.....
  7. Been listening to the qobuz hi res version on the headphones. Sounds brilliant. Looking forward to doing something similar with the vinyl.

On a separate note, SoE has been dethroned in Ireland by Christy Moore's fantastic live album (that everyone should have on their Santie list.)
