Performance:
It surprises me that I'm only the second person to review this jewel..
Well, where to start. After an unlucky lift-off of the tour in the USA, the band came to Europe and opened with two memorable gigs in Rotterdam. So sad there isn't a proper recording of night one, but for that we got the PopHeart EP and the known video.
From start to finish a standout PopMart performance. Some mistakes here and there (particularly from Bono but we got used to that). Still the man gives a solid performance. Of course you can hear that he had problems with his voice back then, but I just have to say he did very well this night. Rest of the band are their usual selves and making fun of it. This show contains my favourite of Edge's karaoke intermissions, 'Radar Love' from the Golden Earring, the greatest Dutch rock band of all time. A real crowd-pleaser. It's followed by the most powerful version of Miami I've ever heard. Please- Streets contained again a beautiful segue. Discotheque was another highlight, followed surprisingly by a full version of Whole Lotta Love. Talking about surprises.
Later on Bono snippeted Love Will Tear Us Apart during With Or Without You which was a true highlight. Pop songs were played very well, for some reason I really like If You Wear A Velvet Dress and Staring At The Sun. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me proved again that this song is so underrated. Then they finished it all off with solid versions of Mysterious Ways and One, with that oh so beautiful Unchained Melody as a closer.
Audience:
Dutch crowd at De Kuip. I think that says enough. You can barely hear Edge singing the karaoke part. Listening to this boot I realised that this crowd finally accepted the PopMart Tour. They clap, chant, shout all show long. A shame that it hasn't been filmed.
Sound quality:
Decent rercording which captures the show fairly well. Some stretches here and there, and sometimes Bono's voice seems to be drowned out by the band's sounding. A high bass is always nice.
Overall:
A standout performance, accompanied by a crazy Dutch crowd makes this one a real must-have for the ones who adore the PopMart era. It was the best European lift-off they could ever have wished for. Finally they seemed to get used to the tour, and finally the crowd was accepting it. Highlights to me were Last Night On Earth, Even Better Than The Real Thing, 'Radar Love', Miami, Discotheque + Whole Lotta Love, Please - Streets, Unchained Melody. But it's the crowd who makes this one so great.

Performance:
It was Bono's birthday and it was the best birthday present that anyone could give him. The whole boot sounds like one big party. Quite a standard and solid ZOOTV- setlist until Party Girl. The encore just takes it to a whole new level. Fantastic performances of all of the four (Desire, UV, WOWY,LIB). And then comes a beautiful rendition to Are You Lonesome Tonight. It was the only time during the tour they used a different closer then Can't Help Falling In Love.
Audience:
Crowd was very much into it again. Two members of the dutch U2 fan-club dressed themselves up as a birthday cake and got up on stage. Party time
Sound quality:
Solid recording, nothing more..nothing less. Captures the night nicely
Overall:
Another one of the standout Zoo shows. I honestly can not believe just one person reviewed this jewel. Clear highlight was the phone call. The girl they called to acted so greatly during these Rotterdam nights that she got tickets to see one of the shows. Give it a chance, you won't get disappointed.

Performance:
They nailed every song at this concert. How I love the performances of A Day Without Me, Two Hearts Beat As One, Electric Co, Gloria, I Will Follow, An Cat Dubh.....Great snippets too except for the one in '40'.
Audience:
A great audience. They certainly enjoyed this gig...Watch the video...one of the better audiences I've seen at festival gigs.
Sound quality:
Great recording. 26 years ago but crystal clear.
Overall:
Grab it now. The boys at their peak of the early years. Too many highlights to call them all.

Performance:
LoveTown at its very best. U2 continued to be in top shape after the famous Dublin gigs. After the Amsterdam show where Bono lost his voice the band decided to close this insane tour in Holland. And that's one of the best choices they ever made. On this last night the band they gave the crowd one of the most energetic perfomances of the decade. This show contains the very best versions of Desire and 40 ever. Also Bad, All I Want Is You (yes, these two played at one night), I Will Follow, Out Of Control are all brilliant.
Audience:
Singing their very hearts out. Screaming, clapping. It gives it all a fantastic atmosphere.
Sound quality:
Very good for the time. Great great audience recording, mirrors the atmopshere.
Overall:
U2 couldn't close the 80's better than on this very night. It's right up there with de Dublin gigs. A must-have for LoveTown-addicts (like me). How I wish to have been there.

Performance:
Goood performance of the lads. It sounds like they're a lot more relaxed than at the opening night. Lovely versions of No Line, Still Haven't Found, Desire, Ultraviolet, Party Girl, TUF and Unknown Caller. You can still hear that they are at the very beginning of a world tour, with some mistakes but we can't blame them for that. Stand-out highlight of the night was the live debut of Electrical Storm. Who would have thought that this one would make it to the setlist? Just brilliance. They pretty nailed it for a first version. Let's hope we get more versions of it after Milan and Gothenburg.
Audience:
Spanish crowd bloody loved it but can't hear them too much. They were awesome during the classics. 4 stars only because I can't here them too much as it's bootleg.
Sound quality:
Decent for a audience recording. Sometimes it's a bit muffled but no real problems, only the clappers.
Overall:
It's a great show with a decent bootleg. The boys seemed more relaxed and that takes it all to a higher level. It's still noticeable that they were at the start of the tour, but we can't complain about that. And there's a dream coming true: Electrical Storm played live. Grab it at least for that...

Performance:
Well, where to start. The band seemed to have much fun that night. Great speeches (especially that A-level thing), solid performances (particularly No Line, Still Haven't Found, Unknown Caller, The Unforgettable Fire and Ultraviolet). Bono does not sound that good at times but overall the man does a good job, like the rest of the band.
Audience:
One of the best crowds of the tour. Hear them sing during Still Haven't Found and Crazy Tonight!
Sound quality:
FM Broadcast, so 5 stars. Somehow the sound of the broadcast reminds me of the PopMart Leeds gig.
Overall:
Memorable gig, probably the best of the European leg. Certainly on of the better nights over the last years. Highlights are the performances I already mentioned and the speeches, like the one about a building called Edge. And of course the singing for Willie Williams makes it a birthday to remember for him. It really does remind me on one of my favourite concerts ever: PopMart Leeds.

Performance:
NOTE: This was my first U2-show. I might exaggerate.
Performance was brilliant. Never thought they would be on fire like THIS. The introduction of Elevation, Until The End Of The World and Bad was a clear hit. I couldn't believe it when they introduced these. And then Break On Through during Until The End Of The World...that made it one of the best performances they did to date. Great perfomances of No Line, Ultraviolet, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Walk On and Moment Of Surrender. Rest of the set was decently played. They really kicked my ass.
Audience:
The crowd enjoyed it like it was their first U2-concert as well. They did well singing on the 'new' songs. Some of them even went nuts when Space Odditey started over PA (which is a lovely opener in my opinion).
Sound quality:
Easily four stars. Sound is very clear. Just ignore the clappers and the ones who sing very false and out of tune. Some upgrades will solve that.
Overall:
The highlight was that there was no lowlight (except for queing in the rain). Until The End Of The World with a brilliant lightshow and Bad with the GREAT snippets did hit me.
A band on fire, a great atmosphere and a decent recording of it, what more can you ask for?

Performance:
This is one of those gigs I can listen all over again and again. It's one of the magical nights during the Popmart days. Best band performance of the band on this tour. That encore is certainly one of the best they ever performed. And then the closing Rain, what a stunner.
Audience:
Can't hear them too much, but it's likely they enjoyed themselves at this phenomenal gig, even in the rain.
Sound quality:
Easily 5 stars, it's a FM broadcast.
Overall:
It's a 5 stars because 6 isn't possible. I just love this concert. Bono's voice is decent here, and the band is on fire. Fantastic perfromances of Mofo, Still Haven't Found, Staring At The Sun, Miami, another great performance of Please and Streets.
And then the encore..download it just for this encore. PopMart at its best. Besides Sarajevo and Santiago a real must-have. Pump it up, George!

Performance:
Best Vertigo performance by a mile. Fantastic performances of City Of Blinding Lights, Until the End Of The World, Streets, Mothers Of The Disappeared, The First Time and All I Want Is You.
Audience:
They even top the band's performance. Never saw (yep, talkin' bout the video boot here), an audience more enthousiastic than these Argentinians. Look how the go nuts on Streets. Brilliant.
Sound quality:
TV broadcast.
Overall:
Clear highlights:
- Bono's ARGENTINAAAA at the beginning of Streets. Crowd goes nuts like I never saw before.
- Mothers Of The Disappeared. Edge on the charango. They should play this more often.
- All I Want Is You. Probably the best version around. At least in my top 5 All I Want Is You performances. Bono gives it all.

Performance:
Top notch. This is one of the shows I really love from this tour, a tour which isn't among my favourites. No lowlight, everything is just soo fitting.. Mothers Of The Disappeared, wow...JT at its very best.
Audience:
Great, but not exceptional. And a guy who whistles when they play Springhill Mining Disaster
Sound quality:
Ever heard a sound much clearer?
Overall:
Just pure brilliance. Highlights are Mothers, Springhill, Streets, With Or Without You, Exit, Gloria, 40..well, the whole show is a highlight itself. I fully understand why this is one of the most popular boots of all time. Among with Brussels the best boot of the tour.

Performance:
Solid performance of the lads. Bono's voice cracks up though. (you might be glad it did, otherwise we wouldn't have the legendary Ahoy' shows later on. Big plus for Hawkmoon 269 and The Unforgettable Fire.
Audience:
Good, for Duch standards. The carry the B-manhe through the shortened show. They well deserved another row of gigs.
Sound quality:
Decent. It's not always that clear but it's a solid audience recording. Well worth listening
Overall:
If you're a LoveTown-addict you should give this one a listen. For any other fan, it's not one of the must haves but well worth a try just for the performance of The Unforgettable Fire, which is among the best around in my opinion. Lowlight is the cracked up voice of Bono, the reason why they shortened the show and got back to Holland in the beginning of the 90's. There they served us a real must-have for every fan.

Performance:
All I gotta say is WOW. The best Joshua Tree show by a mile. Bono's voice is simply magnificent. Listening to Bullet right now: 'But tonight we're not in America, tonight we're in Brussels YEAAAH'', which sounds simply magnificent. I was never keen on The Joshua Tree Tour, but this is one you just have to fall in love with. It's perfect.
Audience:
Again the full five stars. They sing along with every single line of ever single song. Wait, it's no singing. It's screaming their lungs out. One of the best crowds I've listened to.
Sound quality:
Decent audience recording, sound is really clear.
Overall:
Johsua Tree Tour at its very best. This is just one of those few dates that everything was perfect. Highlights: Streets, The Unforgettable Fire, Bullet, Sunday Bloody Sunday (hear the crowd, bloody fantastic), With Or Without You and 40.

Performance:
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. They nail simply EVERY single song on this one. The passion makes it their best concert of the LoveTown Dublin dates. The versions of Streets, With Or Without You, God Part II the very best around. The version of One Tree Hill is beyond words, you should get this show only for this performance. The band never sounded this good.
Audience:
Although you can't hear them too much due to the mix, you just feel their enthusiasm. They certainly lift the band up to unbelievable heights.
Sound quality:
Perfect mix. Fantastic clear sound.
Overall:
Download this one now. At the moment I think it's the best gig U2 ever did. Nothing can top this I guess. Stand-out highlights: One Tree Hill, All I Want Is You, Streets, Desire, With Or Without You, Running To Stand Still and 40. Uhm, I should mention the whole gig as a highlight. It's even better than the new year's eve concert.

Performance:
Brilliant performance of the lads. PopMart at his best. Bono's voice is good here, although it cracks sometimes. Look at 'Bad' where he tries his best to carry himself through the song. You can really see him suffering when you watch the video. Luckily the band and the crowd was there to carry him through. The band certainly was on fire that day.
Audience:
Again top notch. Those South-American people are simply magnificent during concerts. They really go nuts! Note the crowd's reaction as Bono takes on the Mothers of The Disappeared on stage. You can really hear the difference: one side's pro-Pinochet(as they're yelling 'Boo!'), other side's (which is a bigger group) clearly against him. Really interesting moment.
Sound quality:
As if it's a TV broadcast, it's decent. No more comment needed I guess.
Overall:
If you don't have this one, grab it now. Both the audio AND the video. The concert is even better than the Mexico City one. The performances of 'Bad', 'One' and 'Mothers Of The Disappeared' are the stand-out highlights...can't find no words for it. The energy the band put on that night was really huge.
This one was PopMart's finest hour. Besides the beloved Sarajevo show a must-have bootleg for U2-addicts.
So this was my first concert review, hope you like it!
