Performance:
Fantastic performance. It is amazing to hear the band work kinks out of the show before they had a rigid format down, including Bono instructing Edge during "One" so he could give a speech, and also Bono commenting "Bridge too far" during "Magnificent" indicating that something was happening with the stage that he didn't like.
Audience:
They're Italians, man, of course they're gonna freaking rule. Magnificent, With or Without You, Unknown Caller....just listen.
Sound quality:
Really really great. This is a good sounding show, except sometimes Adam comes out a little low in the mix. Where he needs to shine (WOWY), he can be heard though.
Overall:
Enjoyable listen. Didn't care for the second half of Electrical Storm when Edge plays that stupid guitar part in the second chorus, but the first half is really really amazing. Desire was eaten alive by that crowd, too. Would listen again.

Performance:
A decent performance. Nothing over the top. I did very much enjoy Discotheque and Staring at the Sun, though Sweetest Thing was shaky and thats usually a highlight for me.
One thing, though- I did not catch the snippets of "Losing My Religion" or "Everybody Hurts" at the end of One, which is part of the reason I downloaded the show. Perhaps they were just cut from the recording.
Audience:
Barely heard, obviously because its a soundboard. Couple times they showed through.
Sound quality:
Pretty great SB with some crackles and pops.
Overall:
Not a huge fan of SB's but this is a great sounding one. Listened to the show mainly for the early Elevation setlist, and it delivered. Sweetest Thing was shaky like I mentioned above, and parts of Streets seemed like the band were off with each other. Other than that though, the other performances were just as good as they should be. Three or so nights in, they were still working out the kinks. Worth a listen.

Performance:
I'm going to live-rate this one because it's late and I have nothing else to do, so this will be extremely comprehensive:
COBL: Bono has a true hold on this audience. With it being U2's only stop in NY on the first leg, they have to be pumped that this is an exclusive glimpse at U2 for now. He sings so well, and the band backs him up brilliantly. The energy is already very evident.
Vertigo: The arena sound really boosts the feel of this performance into another threshold. Bono sounds great, and the audience supports him. The snippet at the end of the song is great, and they bring it back into the finale so greatly.
Elevation: Bono connects with the audience early in the song- you can tell its going to be a great night for him. The blast-off of when the song actually kicks in is great.
Cry/Electric Co.: It's like a speeding train...just picking up momentum, racing faster and faster until the huge ending. Stellar.
ACD: If the previous song is a speeding train, this song is exactly the opposite- a creepy, crawling, relentless portrait of shadows. Conveyed beautifully at this show. Edge misses a note or two during the first chorus, but his vocals are flawless.
Into the Heart: Great coda as always. Bono sounds good.
Beautiful Day: Average, as were most performances of this song on the Vertigo tour.
Miracle Drug: Good performance with a nice, brief speech from Bono in the intro.
SYCMIOYO: Decent, again. The show starts to drop off here but the crowd is still loving it.
Love & Peace: Edge has a little guitar trouble, finding some notes, but it settles in and turns into a good rocking performance. Solo kicks ass.
SBS: Generally a downer on this tour for me, but the crowd totally elevates it! They are so wild and pumped by the song that the energy makes it a great performance.
Bullet: Good transition into the song. Rest of it, unfortunately, turns out to be the show's biggest lull.
RTSS: Oh good God the crowd on this is just outstanding. Simply put....beautiful.
Pride: Standard performance. Nothing to note.
Streets: And...just like almost every show...magic begins to happen, and the show is right back where it started. No words. Just listen.
One: The crowd eats this one up. A good Vertigo performance of the tune.
Zoo Station: This is my first V bootleg in a long time, so let me just say how once again AMAZED I am that this got brought back. SUCH a gem on this tour, and this is a great performance.
The Fly: Edge's wah is really opened up in the intro, it sounds so spacey and cool- not as deep as the song is represented on the Chicago DVD. Rock n' roll performance here. Slight solo mishap but its barely noticeable. Bono screaming "IF I COULD I'D REARRANGGGEEEEEEAAAAAHHH!" was so cool!
Jean Genie: Holy shit!!! A sort-of-full performance! This came out of NOWHERE for me! Super cool to hear them do this, I have never once heard it in a Vertigo show before.
Mysterious Ways: Fakeout intro, Edge comes in before the tambourine track. Gets the crowd ready early. Groovin' version.
Original of the Species: Not on the setlist, but the band decides to play it anyway. A truly beautiful version- the piano is so perfect in the intro.
ABOY: Never liked this song. Aaaand that's just about all I have to say.
Yahweh: Gorgeous as usual
Vertigo: I prefer 40 to close, especially with the booming echo of an arena behind you, but the crowd loves this too. Such a great night at MSG.
Audience:
The sound really works wonders for them. The BOOM of the arena, the reverb, that echo....that deep roar...it's just so thrilling to even hear their applause. They enhance this bootleg.
Sound quality:
It sounds exactly like being in the arena if all the band members were always so level and clear. The reverb of the arena is so well showcased...I honestly feel like I'm right outside in the concourse. Larry shines through, and Edge's guitar really rings nicely with a great mid-tone.
Overall:
The performance is not without its flaws, but they are easily overlooked when you look at the highlights- the beginning powerhouse section of the show up thru BD, and the always-interesting encore section. The sound is my favorite part of this boot- such an authentic representation of an arena show.

Performance:
Really, really enjoyable. It's difficult to hear at times (addressed below) but it really does strike me as one of the greater European-leg performances. The setlist is very standard (with the exception of Discotheque, depending on whether or not you consider that rare this tour), but the performances are all very well executed and passionate.
Audience:
Also really well represented. They shine through on "Mysterious Ways" and are very receptive and energetic. The poor-ish sound doesn't let them build the show up to something legendary, but it can't always be perfect.
Sound quality:
Sounds like you're listening to the show from the concourse around the actual arena at times. Elevation starts off very distant, but the sound quality shapes up, and by Walk On you're pretty much used to it, but in general it's NOT a good sounding show compared to plenty others on the tour. Very boomy, echo-y, and just muddy overall.
Overall:
Can't get past the sound quality to really give this one a great rating, but the performance is grand. I'll be in search of a higher-quality source to replace this one in my collection...worth listening to in my opinion, since it was never a boring show, but you be the judge whether or not you can take 2+ hours of mediocre quality.
Highlights:
-Staring at the Sun snippet
-Mysterious Ways
-The Fly
-Walk On
It was also very eerie and sad to hear Bono dedicate "Kite" to his father (who died very soon after this concert- it was either a matter of days, or just over a week), and to hear him admit to a crowd that he knew he only had a few days left. It makes "Wake Up Dead Man" an eerie tune at the end of the show as well.

Performance:
Literally top-notch in every single way. The only downside is that Ultraviolet and Desire weren't played, but the Dancing Queen snippet at the end of Angel of Harlem is a nice enough surprise to keep this at a 5.
Audience:
Not SUPER prominent but perfect in every way otherwise. The chorus of "The Fly" is remarkable with them, as is "Mysterious Ways". They make this a SPECIAL show as opposed to a good performance.
Sound quality:
Was talking to another user about how surprised I was that you could hear the audience that well on a soundboard recording. Then he told me it was an audience source. That's how good this sounds.
Overall:
The best bootleg I've heard so far in 2011...and I listen to a LOT of shows. Download this immediately.

Performance:
The setlist is literally just sub-par in comparison to the night before. Opening with Stand By Me and Cmon Everybody is like a huge "WTF" when you have the stellar option of opening with Streets like they did on the first night. The band performs well (They get better as the show goes on, actually), but the setlist is really just not as great as the first night's.
Lou Reed shows up for the Walk on the Wild Side snippet in Bad- that was pretty awesome to hear.
Audience:
Same as the previous night- it was raining, but the atmosphere was still amazing. Not represented in the recording as well as they were in night one, but still a good crowd indeed.
Sound quality:
Only slightly better than the first night, to these ears.
Overall:
Just not as good as the 27th...I know I sound like a broken record, but click the "previous" button in the right column to get to the first Croker. Much better listen.

Fantastic performance from this leg of the tour. Not quite up with Brussels (though what could be)...but it still rocks.
Audience:
Hometown crowd, large stadium, great atmosphere. Well represented in the recording.
Sound quality:
Only real fault. Not poor, but not outstanding. Listenable.
Overall:
Very enjoyable performance from Croke- pretty epic night in JT proportions. Much better than the second night, IMO.

Performance:
Seriously fantastic. The show is fresh and near-perfect; I disagree with the user that said they were off their game, and that Bono was getting lost. I feel like this is one of the most spot on performances of the first leg. Magical night for me to listen to.
I knocked off a half point because Larry started drumming the chorus of BD a measure or two early which sort of threw the band off, but whatever. Things happen.
Audience:
Outstanding. They are loud...the quality of the recording actually clips at times because they are so loud, but I didn't mind it. During the hook of UTEOTW and during the lights-out moment of the bridge of Elevation, they literally overpower the bootleg and it really just gives you a great booming, heart-pounding adrenaline rush of what that arena sounded like that evening.
Sound quality:
Could be much better, but the show is so outstanding I listened right through it to every bit that I could. Elevation starts out very shaky and uneven, and finally settles down halfway through. The show is pretty consistent all the way through, with some dropouts in level here and there. Worth listening to.
Overall:
I'm going all out and giving it 5 stars. I will absolutely listen to this show again, and it's easily the best show I've heard in my recent bootleg splurge of about 6 career-spanning shows lately. I love this performance, I love this crowd, and this Calgary show reminds me why I love early-tour shows so much...the band hasn't settled down yet. They are hyper, they are ready to rock and roll, and things are still just as adrenalizing to them as they are to the audience.

Performance:
Perhaps it doesn't stand out because the sound quality is a bit flat, but every single performance is completely average-sounding. Nothing sparkles.
Audience:
They're alright, I suppose. Again, no gems here. They do not add anything, but they are not annoying so as to subtract anything either.
Sound quality:
Decent but not special. Incredibly flat and unidimensional.
Overall:
I'll never revisit it. It just wasn't anything even remotely special for me. I'm sure the live show was very cool, but the combination of average performances and a totally flat sound, this one just wasn't for me. Plenty of other shows to kill an afternoon with- this is nothing special.

Performance:
Really, really fantastic. They're not nervous with the tour at all, it seems- just really exploring all the music and space and having a fantastic time. There's no shakiness- every performance is confident and inspired. "Until the End of the World" was particularly awesome, and also incredibly crowd-pleasing. Some of the loudest cheers of the whole show.
Audience:
They're actually pretty great. They sing along, they go nuts when they should, and they're even entertaining. One of my favorite parts (and what will probably be the most memorable from the show) was, after Running to Stand Still, when Bono has his harmonica out, one of the audience members can clearly be heard yelling, "DESIRE. Desire. I'll bet he goes right into Desire.", and then proceeding to be (most likely) blown away by Streets
Sound quality:
Wow...pretty bad. When I turned the boot on, I couldn't even tell that Zoo Station had started. It actually does shape up towards the end, and I sat through the entire thing, but it's a pretty bad-quality show. Cuts in and out randomly, at some really great parts which is disappointing. Just not a great recording- but still a great show.
Overall:
The sound really takes everything away from me for this one. If they'd broadcast it on the radio or something, it'd be one of their most talked about shows to date. That's whats hiding underneath the murky sound quality of this boot. Super fun, energetic, and spot-on performance from the guys on this early night of ZooTV.

Performance:
I went into this bootleg expecting it to be amazing. And for many reasons, it was. But perhaps being at the show would have explained some of the...eh...lackluster performance goofs.
For example- the coolest moment in the whole show for me was Beautiful Day. The intro of the song, specifically. (This is probably the ONLY time I'll ever say BD was the ultimate highlight of a show, for the record)...Anyway, what MADE it so cool was that the intro chimes through, and instead of Bono coming in against Edge's chords, Edge just starts churning them out against Larry's tambourine. It's a really cool effect, similar to the first leg or two of 360's performances, where it's not such an immediate start to the song...it's a slowly building effect. Really neat. The only problem is...Edge makes it through the progression once...twice...three times...and Bono is nowhere to be found.
Could he have been doing something with the audience? Sure. I'm sure if you were AT the show, it would have made some sort of sense, why he just wasn't singing. It just didn't come in at a sensible time at all, listening to the show, and it got a little old...Edge would sort of stop and start again randomly since he didn't seem to be sure where Bono was really going.
A similar thing happens in Zoo Station...Bono just sort of goes his own way and the performance sort of suffers- but not as majorly.
Audience:
Fantastic crowd. Italian crowds are my favorites of the Europeans, if I'm being honest- the boom of the singalong is really incredible. Check out New Years Day...they sing along with the guitar part before Bono even comes in. They're enchanted, excited, and energetic throughout the entire evening. They deserve as much credit as the band does for making this show great.
Sound quality:
Not quite a 4-star show, but also not really a 3. It's an average audience source recording that captures both the band's sound and the energy of the crowd nicely. Nothing that my ears couldn't get along with.
Overall:
This marks my 140th show listened to, and I'd say its in the upper half. Probably Definitely Top-10 Vertigo show...but I don't know about Top 5. I enjoyed it a lot, and I've marked several songs to go back to when I'm in the mood for some Vertigo Tour performances. Specifically...
-Vertigo
-The Electric Co
-Elevation
-New Years Day
-BD for the interesting intro
-All I Want is You
-One has a great "Hear Us Coming" at the end
-The Fly
The middle suffers the average-ness of pretty much every Vertigo show, but the beginning of the show (Vertigo even all the way through City) really rocks. This show is worth your time.

Performance:
Edge has a tiny bit of difficulty in "One", and I seem to recall a few other moments where my ears sort of perked up at an odd guitar noise- but other than that the band is really on fire (sorry, I know its a U2 cliche)...Especially during BTBS. They take the emotional gravity of that song, and instead of lightening up on the German crowd (for a song that visually features a burning cross twisting into a swastika), they drive it home and power it just as hard- and the German crowd rides the wave and erupts throughout the show, making the performance shine in many places.
Audience:
Like I mentioned above, booming at times, and quiet at others. They never get in the way, and they're never too loud. Not a fantastic mix between band and crowd though, which is a personal thing for me (I like hearing the audience singing along, as long as its not too direct in the mix, like, hearing ONE person singing along with Bono...badly)
Sound quality:
Surprisingly good sound. A little bassy for me, but we really don't get as much Adam/Larry as we should, so that's not really a huge problem
Overall:
I downloaded this show after reading an interesting anecdote about it in Bill Flanagan's "U2 At the End of the World" (it involved the show opening, if you've read the book- if not, pick it up), and aside from Larry singing Dirty Old Town and Bad, there's nothing here you can't get at any other good Zoo show. That being said, this show's highlights were:
-The Fly
-Until the End of the World
-Bad
-Bullet the Blue Sky
-Where the Streets Have No Name
-UV's lyric change (all f*cked up)...the whole song is good, actually
I'll also add that this show takes place in a weird period of ZooTV for me, where Mr. Macphisto had been invented, but they weren't playing the Zooropa songs with him yet. Macphisto singing Desire is a little weird for me..I preferred the Mirrorball Man for that. But oh well. Decent show here, nothing to blow your mind.

Performance:
Night 2 in Sao Paulo was a great one with the boys. Probably not in the top 3 PopMart performances they gave, but it's still a damn good show with really no lulls. Energy was high, they sound fairly tight...the encore doesn't do it for me anymore though. I get bored listening to WOWY/Batman/Mysterious/One...each generally clocking in at over 6 minutes. You have to spread those longer jams out...my ears get tired of it after awhile. Plus, MW just doesn't work at the end of a show for me. Belongs in the first half.
Audience:
Can't really hear them too much, and when you can, they're clapping...out of time. WOWY really got to me because of the audience clapping incorrectly. They add nothing really positive to this show, which is sad for a South American boot.
Sound quality:
Just alright, for me. Was expecting a lot more from a 5-star rated source...this sounds decently average. Completely listenable, but not stellar by any means, even for the time period.
Overall:
I had a good time with this show, but not a GREAT time. It's really more a 3.75, but why not round up.
Highlights: Until/World, New Years Day, All I Want Is You, Please, Streets
Lowlights: I don't care for IWF PopMart style, so that didn't really go over well, and this bootleg was missing Discotheque for me. Maybe my download was just corrupted or whatever, but that was sort of a bummer.
ULTIMATE HIGHLIGHT: PopMart shows that closed with 40 ended breathtakingly. This is no exception. 40 is amazing when its played on this tour, and the show ends as every U2 show really should.

Performance:
BOTH Bono and Edge's voices are shot. Edge can't even back Bono up. Both of them are out of tune and all over the place...Bono's voice cracking on the high notes and leaving the song with no vocal for a few seconds.
Larry is the only one who I'm really not able to judge if he's having a good show. At one point in "I Will Follow", we hear a perfectly clear channel of Adam's bass, and even that sounds a tad sloppy.
It is cool to hear the techs and sound engineers talking during the first part of the show, "more of this, less of this, let's be careful with this one, it didn't go well last night, etc."
Audience:
Can't really hear them, but they seem excited between songs. No sing along value.
Sound quality:
Less than average for this tour. Listenable, but just barely.
Overall:
Really didn't enjoy listening to this one at all. Like, not even a minute of it.

Few technical issues, but that is to be expected at the start of a massive tour. The band is on fire this night, really digging into the new material, and especially embracing the Elevation Tour material as they give it its first "veteran run"
Audience:
What MAKES the bootleg. They are INSANELY well mixed...booming on occasions, like when Bono says "San Diego!"...but never overpowering the band. They are simply phenomenal in this mix.

Performance:
Together, but Bono has quite a few slip ups, generally related to where they're at in the song. For example, Ultraviolet has a couple. He seems VERY confused...he's heard the song more times than I have, and it's not even a matter of forgetting lyrics...it's just flat out skipping lines, wrong melodies...its odd.
Audience:
Not high in the mix, but they're there.
Sound quality:
Not the best of the leg/tour, but it was a speedy upload, and for that I'm thankful!

Not too special of a show for me...won't really revisit it at all. Maybe for nostalgic listens of North Star, but otherwise, it's a standard early-leg-3 show.

Performance:
Really great- the third leg of the Elevation Tour had the best performances, in my opinion. The 9/11 spirit felt throughout America contributes to the emotion that the band is able to feed off of on stage, and it turns performances like this one into great events to have captured on tape. The band are in top form.
Audience:
They boom and echo through the arena at the best times, but aren't as evident during the entire show as is sometimes enjoyable for me.
Sound quality:
Great, great audience recording. Little muted, but hardly at all- this is a must-hear.

Performance:
It pains me to say it, but it's really terrible. I don't know if they needed more rehearsal time or what, but having listened to over 120 bootlegs of this band playing together, this is close to the bottom of my list. Edge doesn't play certain parts during New Years Day and has minor flubs here and there, Bono's voice is clearly in utterly poor condition- I think he was VERY ill- and Larry even has a few slips here and there. It's hard to judge Adam.
Audience:
They're really fantastic for supporting Bono with such a shit voice. They help sing for him and still have a blast.
Sound quality:
Pretty good for a JT bootleg; nothing extraordinary, but decent.
Overall:
I'll never revisit this show. Highlight was Maggie's Farm, in all honesty- usually it's "Bad", but Bono really botched that one with his voice. I feel bad for him, because he wasn't even achieving tone at that point- he would go for the high parts, and nothing would come out- you could just hear the airiness. I was relieved when the show was over; I felt terrible for Bono.

Performance:
Im not incredibly familiar with the first leg of ZooTV- I spend most of my bootleg listening time in the Outside Broadcast leg, to be honest. But of the few shows I've heard from this leg...this is easily, by far, the best the band has sounded. They are tight, they are together, they play off each other, Edge takes amazing solos, improvs certain riffs, Larry hits every fill spot on, and Bono's voice is just amazing.
Audience:
Very well represented in the recording- sounds like a fantastic show from 1992.
Sound quality:
Very very happy with the sound on this one, like I said above. Sounds like a great recording, really.
Overall:
It includes the famous "Pizzas for Everyone!" bit where Bono ordered 10,000 pizzas for the crowd and Speedy's Pizza in Michigan actually delivered 1,000. The show is worth hearing for that historical moment alone.
Other highlights:
-The Fly (simply remarkable performance, my favorite of ZooTV)
-One
-Until the End of the World
-Angel of Harlem
-Bad/All I Want is You
-Running to Stand Still
-Streets
-Ultraviolet (contains everyone's favorite Zoo lyric change)
-WOWY (Edge has GREAT guitar work toward the end)
-Love is Blindness
So many highlights- how can you NOT love this show?

Really a great show from the PopMart Tour...the band are in pretty top shape and Bono's voice really isn't that bad.
Audience:
I heard them maybe once the entire time. They're nowhere to be found in the recording.
Sound quality:
I'm all for a good audience source, so I'm biased, but other than not being able to hear any crowd, it's pretty great sound. Everyone is clear, and Adam seriously sounds amazing in some of these songs. I never paid such close attention to his bass part in "Even Better Than the Real Thing", but during that song on this boot, his part stands out so much. He sounds really awesome and it's a great insight into how much drive he puts behind this music.
Overall:
Enjoyable listen. I'll probably only revisit the following songs-
-Even Better Than the Real Thing (for Adam's bass)
-Staring at the Sun (sounds good as always)
-If God Will Send His Angels
-Decent encore
Bummed about there not being any All I Want is You- Popmart versions of that were some of my favorites- but IGWSHA is a fair trade in many respects.

Really great performance; one of the best of Leg I. Right up there with Wembley, Milan, and the other Dublin shows.
Audience:
Fantastic to listen to during the show
Sound quality:
It (almost) doesn't get better. This is a great sounding show, easy to listen to.
Overall:
Not much more to say than has already been said- be smart, download this show. Bad was amazing

Performance:
There's nothing about this performance I don't like. The band shines, and even the most average Vertigo setlist staples shine on this bootleg.
Audience:
Really great in this one- not a perfect mix, but still awesome.
Sound quality:
Good 4-star boot. The mix of the band is amazing; Edge is very clear, as are the other members- but he's the one who really stands out to me. Bono sounds great as well.
Overall:
This show, recommended to me by Risto, was a great Vertigo listen, which unfortunately hasn't happened often for me lately Check this one out for sure- it rained during the show, so Bono has quite a few rain-related snippets, including The Beatles' "Rain" several times.
Highlights:
-Vertigo
-Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
-All I Want Is You
-The Fly
-With or Without You
-Yahweh

Performance:
Real great stuff; what the COH tour was really all about. Nothing too far from this era's standard.
Audience:
Loud, but sometimes obnoxious.
Sound quality:
Good as you'll get from the COH tour, I think.
Overall:
Fantastic snippet of 'Candle in the Wind' during Bad, and Maggie's Farm is always so cool. Sun City really rocked the house that night too. Enjoyable listen, and it's a short set- only 41 minutes. Give it a try.

Performance:
Pretty average performance. Some shows have that sparkle, that magic, that party-feel to it where everything just falls perfectly into place...in this show, all the pieces are present, and there are some really, really great performances, but overall, it is an averagely awesome ZooTV show.
Audience:
Camp Randall Stadium in Madison is where DCI (Drum Corp International) Finals are held every year, and that place can get LOUD- and it really does, during this show. The audience ate up every little bit of the show. Remarkable thing, which I didn't realize, is that the Outside Broadcast covered football stadiums in the USA too. I thought it was mainly ampitheaters. You learn something new every day.
Sound quality:
Incredible sound, can't even believe it's an audience recording- sounds like a soundboard with a great blend of audience.
Overall:
An enjoyable show, but nothing I'll probably ever revisit unless I'm making a Zoo compilation, and I want to pull a song or two from a random show such as this one, for the great sound.
Highlights:
-Sunday Bloody Sunday (funny, I usually hate the Zoo performances of this)
-Bullet the Blue Sky
-Until the End of the World
-Ultraviolet
-Edge's guitar work during the "Shine Like Stars" snippet in WOWY is literally breathtaking...I think my heart skipped a beat. Worth the download alone.

Performance:
Some songs, the band hasn't quite fallen into yet, which is actually sort of better...it makes them sound more interesting and fresh. But still, there are flaws here and there, even though they DO sort of add to the freshness of the set
Audience:
Pretty easy to hear, never really intrusive, and they participate at all the appropriate times. Great mix of band and audience
Sound quality:
Really phenomenal sound. This recording captures all members at the perfect EQ for me...the mix is just astounding.
Overall:
Pretty easy to rate; 4.5 all the way down. Easily one of the best 1st Leg shows. Download this instantly.
Highlights
-Until the End of the World (seemed like it was a TAD faster, and that the band was trying to stay on top of it- gave the song power, almost like it was controlling them, and in this case, it was really, really cool)
-The Sweetest Thing
-"Young Americans" during Bullet (always loved this)
-Bad
-Where the Streets Have No Name
Lowlights:
-Not bad enough to be a "lowlight", but they're clearly still getting used to their new take on "The Fly"
-Edge had a few errors on Mysterious Ways, I've heard better performances

Performance:
Pretty decent performance. Bono is the only thing that drags this one down; his voice just isn't up to par, as we know from other PopMart shows.
Audience:
What audience? Haha I heard them a few times, but its a soundboard- have no expectations.
Sound quality:
Crystal clear soundboard, excellent capture.
Overall:
Very enjoyable PopMart listen with some great moments.
Highlights-
-Miami (For real, this blew me away. Say what you will about the song...)
-Staring at the Sun (Harmonies were gorgeous)
-Outtro of Mysterious Ways (I'm not much for rudeness between the band and the crowd, even as a joke, but when Bono says "Goodnight...get the fuck outta here", from that point to the end, Edge's solo is electrifying.
-All I Want is You was soooo good
Lowlights-
-Didn't care for I Will Follow, never do on PopMart boots
-Discotheque seemed to not have some of the magic

Performance:
Theres an interview with The Edge where he states that while Chicago I was a good show, the band was getting their feet planted in the ground that night, and Chicago II was the real deal. I don't care what even Edge says- night one was amazing too. I've watched a video boot of it, but not until tonight did I download U2Freak's AMAZING matrix and listen to the show proper. This performance is just spectacular. Chicago II would get a 5, but this one is easily a 4.5. Absolutely marvelous show.
Audience:
A bit harder to hear in the matrix, but given the sources, they still come through about as much as the average listener would want them. They are never intrusive.
Sound quality:
One of- if not THE- best sounding bootleg of the 360 Tour.
Overall:
Never once was I checking to see how much longer was left in the show. Never once did the audio make me cringe. Never once did I get nervous for one of the guys when they were screwing anything up (because they never really did).
Edge's delay got a little off in the beginning of "Bad", a problem that Dallas seemed to have worked on on the spot, and the result is actually a pretty cool live-fix of the situation; you hear it get fixed AS it gets fixed. Also, the mere fact that "Bad" was played that night is amazing enough to completely ignore the subtle flaw. With a snippet of 40, too? Stellar.
"Where the Streets Have No Name" was easily the highlight of this bootleg, as it is in many shows...but everything fell perfectly into place that night for that song.

Performance:
I was very very satisfied with this performance, but it was my first listen in awhile. I took a super-long break from boots, so it could have been a first-listen type of thing, where it just sounded awesome regardless, but either way this show ends up being totally worth it.
Audience:
Very into the show. Great audience recording captures the vibe perfectly, though the roar isn't quite as deep as some perfect captures.
Sound quality:
Really can't say too much about it other than it's a completely average audience recording.
Overall:
This show has everything- a great Elevation setlist, Bono sounding fantastic, The Edge really working that guitar, and even a "performance" of Hawkmoon 269. "Desire" starts off as usual, but when the vocals come in, Bono is sining Hawkmoon. He goes through a good portion of the song before switching over to Desire, and its AWESOME.
It is this show's birthday today, as I write this, and I can't think of a much present than a 4.5 star review. This is such a cool show- all highlight. no lowlight.

Performance:
I feel like I'm the debbie-downer, being the only reviewer to not rate this with 5 stars...but its just not a perfect performance!! Its a damn-near perfect setlist, but the execution has its flaws. With that being said, the slight mistakes in Edge's guitar lines and Bono forgetting some lyrics are what make this boot original, and arguably one of the more essential shows of the tour to own.
Audience:
Hard to hear at times, but appropriately mixed in this audience recording. (Side note- was someone booing in the intro of Beautiful Day? Made me chuckle)
Sound quality:
Nothing to get terribly excited about, but it's generally clear. Couple times in some random songs there is some interference- sounds like potentially radio? Either way, it doesn't detract TOO much from the listening experience.
Overall:
It's a great boot to have, but then, so is the entire stay at Chicago on this leg. The following night's performance was better, and if the setlist was a little more like this night's, the show would have been- without a doubt- the best of the Vertigo Tour. These 2 nights in Chicago are worth having, but get them both. If you're only taking one, I think I have to reccomend night 2.
Highlights:
-Actually hearing some Pop material on the tour
-Walk On was so cool
-Love and Peace was cool too
Lowlights:
-Discotheque, while cool to hear, seemed way too fast for me.
-Minor flubs throughout the night, but its what makes every show personal and not overly produced.

Performance:
Great but not spectacular- the second best of this 3-night stay at the Rosemont Horizon.
"October" was performed very well here, a track that doesn't usually "stand out" on live recordings from this era to me. Also, Bono's guitar is very audible on "With or Without You", and the performance is an ultimate highlight of the show.
Bono was having some problems with his voice these 3 nights in Illinois, but he really pushed it and gave it his all this night.
Audience:
Fantastic, but due to the sound quality, not always consistently represented. During "With or Without You" they were crazy loud, whereas at other times, they were only slightly there. The reception of the show was pretty intense, though- heavy audience before/after songs.
Sound quality:
Hardest thing about the show to like. It wasn't terrible- I mean, I made it through the show- but it wasn't the best JT bootleg I've ever heard, either.
Overall:
Standard JT show with not a lot of glitter. "Helter Skelter" was unexpected, and slightly extended. It was Larry's birthday, so Happy Birthday is sung to him right in the middle of "Party Girl"
Highlights:
-Where the Streets Have No Name
-Bad
-October
-With or Without You
Last great thing about this show- Bono picking up a spotlight at the end of "40" and saying, "Let's see the back of this hall. Now the side. Let's look at Larry Mullen Jr."..etc, etc. The crowd was going wild.
Good show, but try the 28th if you're only going to download one night from this stay.

Performance:
Pretty good performance, much like the night before, but slightly lackluster. "In God's Country" seems to have a bit of trouble in the beginning- Larry and Edge get a little out of sync, and they start the song over after a few bars. The result is excellent, though, and one of my favorite parts of the show.
"Silver and Gold" is great to see here, and it couldn't have been too terribly popular, seeing as how it wasn't on Rattle and Hum yet- it was only 1987. People may have known it from the Artists Against Apartheid music, but they simply ate this performance up.
The setlist is what really shines here. Slightly different than most JT shows- an appearance of Out of Control, Bullet seemed to come earlier, don't know if it was just me or not...but it was a nice change from night one in Rosemont.
Audience:
The one thing that this bootleg trumps the previous night in is the audience sound. The sound of the band is a little lackluster, but the audience source gives a pretty classic, gritty bootleg feel of what an audience would have sounded like on a recording back in the 80's tapings. This is a great show to feel nostalgic to.
Sound quality:
Really not fantastic. The band sounds like they are playing in a room...sort of like they're in your basement, and you're upstairs, listening to the music through several floors. I don't mind slightly-off sound quality in exchange for a good show though, and this is definitely a great show.
Overall:
I have to knock this one down because of the sound quality and because of a few performance issues. Bono's voice really isn't there, which is clear in the first night in Rosemont as well. "The Unforgettable Fire" suffers greatly, although songs like "With or Without You" are still pulled off magnificently. Give it a try, but only if you're sure you wouldn't rather hear the first night instead. I'd recommend that one over this.
Highlights:
-In God's Country (second time 'round)
-Where the Streets Have No Name
-Trip Through Your Wires
-Silver and Gold
-With or Without You
Lowlights:
-Not that it was bad by any means, but I wish this performance of "Out of Control" was better. It rounded out the setlist for me and gave me something to look forward to, and just didn't deliver as energetically as I had hoped.

Performance:
Wow....just, wow. I can't even believe that Bono was having problems with his voice on songs like "The Unforgettable Fire", and yet in the very same song (and others like "Running to Stand Still" and "40") his voice is pure, soulful, and gorgeous to listen to. Every other member is very much in touch with the music, and they play together great tonight.
Setlist is even, except for a tiny rough patch caused by an extra long cover of "Southern Man" followed by another super long version of "Sunday Bloody Sunday", but it recovers quickly.
Audience:
Fantastic. Great before, during, and after each performance. Bono pulls what seems to be multiple people up during "Southern Man" to see if they can play the guitar, noting, "We've found people in Chicago who could play my guitar, before!", and I think he also dances with a girl onstage during "Bad". Great crowd, they are essential to this show.
Sound quality:
Really, truly fantastic for this era. One of the better sounding JT boots out there, I believe, that's not pro-recorded in any way. Helps this show to shine.
Overall:
4.5 all the way down makes this an easy rate. I've heard better Joshua Tree performances- one of which was actually at this very venue, on the first leg- but there is literally almost NOTHING wrong with this show. There is a lot of energetic flow and powerful vocal performances from Bono, and I think Larry and Adam sound great on this one, something that isn't always a priority in bootleg recordings. The crispness of the sound and the phenomenal performances make this first night of a 3-night stay worth listening to.
Highlights:
-Where the Streets Have No Name (speechless)
-In God's Country
-Running to Stand Still
-40

Performance:
Pretty awesome, not gonna lie. There's almost nothing about the performance to dislike. I have no idea what type of venue they were in, other than it was a hall, but they were really absorbing some energy there, and getting along very well with the crowd. Songs all sound fantastic, few in particular (which I'll list in the highlights)
Audience:
Sometimes hard to hear during songs, singing along and all that, but in between they are loud and responsive. I like the mix, but would rather hear them singing along more with the big crowd parts.
Sound quality:
Standard 3 star. Nothing spectacular. Doesn't detract from the listening experience at all, but doesn't add a lot in terms of clarity. Probably wouldn't steer anyone clear away from this show.
Overall:
Rated high, because I really enjoyed this early show. Sometimes the early ones (pre-TUF, in my opinion) really just don't connect with me, and I can't feel them. This one was a spectacular listen, though- one I can see myself revisiting when I feel like hitting up a familiar early show.
Highlights:
-Party Girl!!! "That was the first time that song has ever been performed! [under his breath] And probably the last..." Oh, Bono...little did you know...
-New Years Day was very fresh
-Gloria/Brick/Day Without Me was pulled off well
-Only time "Like a Song" has ever been performed
So much to enjoy about this show, it would be a shame for you to not hear it. Download it!!!!

Performance:
Relatively flat. This is a perfectly average live show- nothing U2 are commonly praised for, which is a real spectacle. The highlights and lowlights balance out to a pretty even 3.5 performance.
Audience:
Can't hear them very well, and the few times you can (Namely, "One") it sounds like surrounding members are drunk
Sound quality:
Theres one thing this boot has going for it, and that's a pretty good sound. Couldn't hear The Edge as well as I would've liked to, but hey, something's gotta give.
Overall:
Highlights:
-Where the Streets Have No Name: holy crap. This bootleg was almost a total dud, and then this song happened. Phenomenal performance of this one.
-The Fly: The Edge's guitar tone told me, 10 seconds in, that this would be one of the ultimate highlights of the show.
-Vertigo x2: Much better than the first, and the crowd carries on after the band finishes
Lowlights:
-Elevation suffers some sort of miscommunication, and never really recovers
-Bullet doesn't end soon enough.

Performance:
A few low points here and there knock off a half point-
-The Sarajevo linkup is....confusing. I understand why they did this, but in the middle of a high energy show?
-Bono seems to sort of screw up the first bit of Zooropa. It's a great instance of the song, but not the best.
Otherwise, it's a rockin' Zooropa-leg show.
Audience:
Hard to hear for the most part. They chime in occasionally on this bootleg, but overall, they're hard to hear. Between songs, they're good and loud.
Sound quality:
(Audience source)
Not perfect, but about standard/average for the ZooTV era. I expected nothing more and nothing less from this recording- it's a good 4-star.
Overall:
A good show with many highlights- great selection for the SOTM: May 2010
Highlights:
-It is Edge's birthday, and "Happy Birthday" is sung during "Angel of Harlem", as well as a fantastic snippet of "Rain" and "Lost Highway" at the end- AOH is easily the biggest highlight of this show
-Ultraviolet (Light My Way) was awesome
-ZooTV Confessionals were hilarious after "Pride"
-Zoo Station thru UTEOTW was priceless...sometimes it gets tiring to hear after so many Zoo shows, every single one opening the same way...but its beautifully executed here.

Performance:
Falls a bit flat at times, but for the most part, this is a great show. Last shows of tour legs are usually great, as the band throws all of their energy into them, knowing that they don't have to do it again the very next night, and in most cases, week or two.
Audience:
Surprisingly very good, for the sound quality we're offered. Very much enjoyed their presence in this boot.
Sound quality:
Fantastic audience source- up there with the best I've heard from the PopMart tour.
Overall:
Thoroughly enjoyed this listen, and will probably revisit it. Everything from Mofo thru Staring at the Sun earned at least a 4-star rating for me, and things after there went a bit haywire and inconsistent. This is one of the rare PopMart shows for me, where the main set truly outshines the encore. My 5-star song ratings, I will post as the highlights:
-Mofo
-Last Night on Earth
-Until the End of the World
-All I Want is You
-With or Without You
-Mysterious Ways
Definitely in my PopMart-Top-5, but I haven't heard TOO many shows from this tour either. The only shows I can think of, so far, that outshine this one for me are Leeds, 1997-08-28, and Sarajevo, 1997-09-23. Get listening- this one is worth it!

Only one song, so sure the star-ratings are a little skewed, but this is what Mofo should be. This is THE go-to performance of the song.

Sound quality:
Broadcast audio, perfect sound.
Overall:
Worth downloading for the great MTV European Awards performance of "Mofo". This is one of my only selections from U2Start's "various dates" catalog, but I think I'll have to raid it for some more TV performances- this one cracked my shell for sure.

Performance:
Pretty great show..unfortunate that Edge breaks strings at 2 different points in the night (1 during Sunday Bloody Sunday, and 1 during Angel of Harlem), and he also has a tuning problem that throws the band off at the beginning of "All I Want is You". That's the reason this only gets a 3.5. Otherwise, your typical spirited Elevation Tour show.
Audience:
Probably great that night, but hard to hear on the bootleg, as the IEM takes up most of the matrix.
Sound quality:
I listen to bootlegs frequently, and I've never *almost* stopped listening to a show as many times as I did here. With all due respect to the tapers/mixers, this matrix is not mixed properly. That, or the sources just weren't meant to merge. The IEM takes up the majority of the matrix, making the clicks still very audible, and the IEM frequency is overtaken by buzz and even interfering radio signals every once in awhile. Makes "Kite", among many other songs, almost unlistenable due to fuzz.
Overall:
I just can't get past the fuzziness of the sound and the strange EQ left by the weird matrix job. If you're going for this one, I recommend the audience source- I tried the matrix, and it's going to make me stay as far away from this show as I can.
I feel bad for the band, as this was probably a great show, it just doesn't shine through in lasting memory like so many others. I did enjoy "The Fly", even though there was a lot of static in that one too. The Edge's guitar is very much at the front of the sound, and it's a very in-your-face performance. Other than that, and the mild amusement Edge's guitar troubles bring, this show is entirely forgettable.

Sound quality:
Sounds fantastic, no buts about it. A nice, even, clear sounding bootleg. Maybe a little more audience in the mix, but I can seriously hardly complain.
Overall:
This is (only?) the 11th 360° show I've listened to, I'll admit, but it's definitely not one of my favorites. Not one of my top 5. There just wasn't a whole lot of specialty to it, to be honest. Decent performance. Highlight of the whole show for me was "No Line on the Horizon"

Performance:
Some flubs here and there- "Original of the Species", notably, but even that song ended up being one of my favorites.
The band really related this show to the crowd, and performed as one with their audience. People- including U2 themselves- have said that the American city to see the band in is New York...but I think based on the shows I've heard, I'd be making a pilgrimage to Boston before NYC. These shows are always magical. This is no exception.
Audience:
Great crowd- audible, never annoying. I'd like to hear them singing along just a tad bit more though; a bit more echo after Bono's vocal.
Sound quality:
Not bad at all- typical Vertigo 4-star show. Nothing to rave about, and no complaints either.
Overall:
Great, great show. Really captures some energy. The setlist is really perfect, with some great performances of songs that didn't get a ton of Vertigo play, and Bono's voice sounding great. Edge is also really good on this recording.
Highlights:
-"Gloria" sounds like it was written for this tour in this performance. Sounds awesome.
-Extended outro of "One"...Bono talks to the crowd a little bit while Edge plays his solo, and then they go into their little call-and-response chant to end the song. Really lovely
-"Running to Stand Still"- possibly my favorite Vertigo performance of this
-"Original of the Species" wasn't bad; there are several screwups but they are humorous and the good parts are still great.
-"Bad". Need I say more? Perfect show closer. Snippet of "40" leaves the audience completely alone and singing, and then Edge ever-so-subtly comes back in, and the rest of the band carries "Bad" right back out til the end. Magnificent!

Leaves me speechless. I absolutely knew from the first 30 seconds of "Bullet" that this would be a 5-star performance all the way around- no joke. This is the best of the best, ladies and gentlemen.
Audience:
Loving absolutely every second of these love-inspired concerts.
Sound quality:
Sounds like a broadcast, or a pro-shot DVD rip or something. The magic surrounding this bootleg download is incredible- perfect sound, perfect crowd, a perfectly diverse and different setlist, and the best Lovetown performance ever.
Overall:
I try not to be too sketchy in bootleg reviews, DEFINITELY not in ones of shows that I loved, but I don't really know what to say without going overboard.
-Every song is a highlight
-The setlist is a godsend
-This show includes the "go away and dream it all up again speech"- which alone should make this a staple in any U2 fanatic's collection
-Van Diemen's Land
-The crowd is absolutely friggin phenomenal
-I have wracked my brain, trying to come up with a flaw in this show. I cannot.

Performance:
A nice, spirited performance with a lot of energy. The band is well skilled on the songs, too, something you occasionally have to watch out for on the early boots.
Audience:
A really great crowd- don't be TOO fooled by the 3.5 rating...its just that they're annoying sometimes. Like at the start of "The Ocean", is someone blowing a whistle? Conversations are sometimes held in the middle of songs too.
Sound quality:
Good as it gets from this era, guys. If you want a good sounding bootleg, you've found it.
Overall:
Very enjoyable "early" listen. I usually don't spend too much time in this era, but Sergio recommended the show to me, and I have to say, it was a really great listen. They don't screw around with the music- they just throw it right at you, and I love it. 'I Threw a Brick" going straight into "A Day Without Me" was easily my favorite part of this whole bootleg.
Worth a listen for sure!

Performance:
One of the most stellar, audience-driven, flat out ROOF-RAISING performances on ZooTV ever. This was just a PHENOMENAL performance. I've always personally thought the Outside Broadcast was ZooTV's highlight, and this was it's kiss goodbye, before Bono would dream up MacPhisto, the band would work their asses off on the new material, and the tour would be very different on the returning legs, with a much different feel. This is pure ZooTV spirit, right here.
Audience:
So loud sometimes, you can't even hear the band. But that's more of the sound's fault than it is the audience's. They were unbelievable.
Sound quality:
Utterly terrible. Occasionally, I had to check iTunes to see what song was playing. It's one of the biggest shames in the U2 Bootleg Archive, because this is one of the most fun shows I've ever listened to, and I would revisit it again and again if it were top notch sound. I would KILL for a 4-star recording of this show, but unfortunately, this sounds like a 4th generation cassette transfer that is sometimes outside of the stadium, and sometimes underwater.
Overall:
I loved it SO much, it was SO worth the listen...but due to the terrible sound, I just can't rate this higher than 3.5. I know that I'll never return to this- BAR ULTRAVIOLET. This performance of UV- carried by the crowd and Bono hand in hand- was simply glorious. Van Dieman's Land was great too, but unfortunately barely audible in places. Still fantastic to hear Edge's voice. So pure, and so perfect in this concert.
Download it and give it a shot- you really don't have anything to lose. If sound quality is a HUGE deal to you, stay away. But I recommend giving it a chance to hear some of the party-licious beauty that the finale of this leg was. I'll be checking out the other nights in this Mexico City residency for sure.

Performance:
Last night of the entire tour, had been put off for a long time due to illnesses in Edge's family, and they really threw every single ounce of energy and emotion into this performance.
Audience:
Pretty good, sometimes hard to hear.
Sound quality:
Nothing special here at all, just a standard audience source.
Overall:
Really fantastic "finale" performances of all of these songs. Though some would be played again (and others, again, and again, and again, and again)....they would never be played in this incarnation, in this way, in this order...and the band celebrates each song. Great gig.

Performance:
Absolutely amazing. I'm becoming more and more convinced that these were the best performances of this band's entire career.
Audience:
Very responsive, and nobody overpowers the band at any time. They're very into the show.
Sound quality:
Standard JT show, nothing spectacular.
Overall:
Reccomended to me by Sergio, this show was a fantastic listen. I rate songs as I go, playing on my iTunes, and not a single performance was below 4/5 stars. SO many highlights, it would kill me to name them all. Here were the absolute best moments:
-The opening trickle of "Streets"...always brilliant, but damn...I can't not list it as a highlight
-The Unforgettable Fire
-Running to Stand Still
-Bad
-"Shot rings out in the Memphis sky" line in "Pride"
-This was the first U2 show Bono's dad ever saw
-This was also the show that the Rattle and Hum version of ISHFWILF is from, so if you're interested in hearing that performance absolutely raw and uncut, it's here, in the encore.
I don't have a SINGLE regret in listening through this show- download NOW!

Performance:
Good performances...none were real glittering prizes, but they're still in top form.
Audience:
Hard to hear, but good when they're audible
Sound quality:
That's what this one really has going for it- if you're looking for a great sounding bootleg from the early days, look no further. This October bootleg is truly outstanding in terms of sound. Everybody can be heard clearly and there are no hisses, cracks, etc. Great, great sound.
Overall:
Overall, except for the sound, it was nothing terribly special. "Twilight" dropping right into "Out of Control" was awesome- my favorite part of this show. For enthusiasts only, but like I said, if you just want to represent this era of the band, this is a great sounding bootleg.

Performance:
A great follow through with the new material, bar Edge's solo in "Unknown Caller", which he was still exploring. "Pride" is tired and uninspired, and "One" is a complete and utter clusterfuck of a disaster. It rivals the PopMart opening night's "Staring at the Sun" for the biggest embarassment onstage, in my opinion. Bono stopping the band entirely, calling The Edge out in front of thousands of fans as he continues to screw around on the guitar, and counting everyone back into a verse he's already sang. A mess.
Other than that baffling thing to listen to (which is still cool, to have a historically bad screw up on tape ), the show is really great and magical, often times, with this being the debut of the biggest rock spectacle of 2009-2010
Audience:
Could they possibly be more excited to be witnessing the birth of 360°? Answer: no.
Sound quality:
Great, great, great matrix. A perfect listening experience.
Overall:
In all, a really magical show. Another reviewer put it perfectly- for the present time, this is a great gig to visit and remember where our current tour got its' roots, there in Barcelona. And opening nights are always shows to remember; birthplaces of years of us following our favorite band. But in a few years? This show won't be as spectacular than plenty of others on the tour.
Highlights:
-Breathe (for no other reason than they are the first notes of a brand new tour, sounds fresh and gives Live U2 life again!)
-No Line on the Horizon
-Get On Your Boots (let me in the sound was awesome!)
-TUF thru Vertigo was awesome, I loved "All of this could be yours, in three hundred and sixty degrees."

Performance:
Nothing to really complain about...it's all just very average. They're performing well, but not extraordinarily well.
Audience:
Slightly hard to hear at times, but the sound is well mixed and they're definitely in the mix. I was pleased.
Sound quality:
That's what this one really has going for it- in my opinion, this is a great sound. If every Vertigo show sounded like this, I'd be pleased. The energy just doesn't cut the mustard, I'm afraid.
Overall:
Lower than all the rest of the ratings because this was absolutely nothing more than standard. "The Fly", "With or Without You", and "Bad" were highlights, but (with the exception of WOWY), they almost always are. This show doesn't stand out from the rest at all. Good- but not different.

Performance:
THIS is what PopMart was all about!!! The rock spectacle meets the biggest stage ever concieved, which collides with outstanding performances of both new material and old. The band challenged the size of their own stage with how big they performed this night in Chile.
Audience:
Great South American crowd; they always are.
Sound quality:
Not amazing, but worth every single second. It's one of the better PopMart recordings, in my opinion.
Overall:
A really, really fantastic night- perhaps my favorite of the entire tour that I've heard so far. Download this baby riiiiight away!
Highlights-
-Mofo
-Last Night on Earth
-Until the End of the World
-Bad (had sort of a minimalistic sound until just before the climax- I like the PopMart version of "Bad", and I'm also glad it almost never got played. Nice and rare)
-Please
-Mothers of the Disappeared (Show stopping. Emotional earthquake.)

Performance:
Pretty great performance of most of the material..I'll list the highlights at the bottom. The setlist is top notch!
Audience:
They're well represented in the bootleg, and not obtrusive enough to take away from the listening experience.
Sound quality:
Here's where this one really suffers. It varies, but at its' highest it never really gets better than a 3. It's still a great listen if you can make it through, for some of the performances, but it's admittedly not the best sounding show.
Overall:
I enjoyed this listen, but the sound unfortunately knocks this one down to a 3.5 for me. Worth a listen for the highlights listed below- the rest is skippable if you'd rather.
Highlights:
-Everything between "Discotheque" and "Sunday Bloody Sunday" was absolutely incredible. My favorite part of the show was the sadness of "Kite" bleeding directly into the coolness of "New York" in this show. It was almost seamless.
-Edge's guitar work in "Staring at the Sun" (really just an extended snippet off of "Discotheque") was great...I love when he hits the resolving chord in the chorus
-All I Want is You (stellar)
-With or Without You (amazingly beautiful performance, accompanied by a "Love Will Tear Us Apart" snippet at the end!)
Lowlights-
-I was so excited to hear The Edge just dive right into "One", and I thought we were just gonna get a no-holds-barres, no messing around, nice little performance of the song...and then Bono started talking anyway.

Performance:
Every performance is...well, just about every positive adjective in the book. Stellar, amazing, spot-on, brutally honest, fun, energetic, excited, enjoyable...you NAME it, that's what this performance is. It simply never lets up. The show tricks you into thinking you're about to hit a lull- a performance carries on perhaps 30 seconds too long, or an ending of a song is just ever so slightly off that you think- "This is it! Here comes the low portion!" And then the song after starts, and your head trip starts all over again.
Audience:
Perfect mix of audience and band, and the audience is ecstatic. They sing along, (With or Without You's verses are exceptional), they cheer....they share the love with the band.
Sound quality:
Perhaps not perfect, but sound quality is of such minor importance with a gig of this quality that the things that could be improved on are lost in the magic. In reality, this should probably be a 3.5, but you'll HEAR it as a 5 star bootleg because of it's beauty...so I'll be fair and knock it down a half a point.
Overall:
This is one of the more magical shows I've ever listened to. Recommended to me by Gerard, I couldn't possibly be more thankful for a point in this show's direction. Often times- moreso recently- in my bootleg listening, I find myself saying "Yeah, it was good, but I don't think I'll ever pay it any attention again". Thankfully, this show turns that around. I'll revisit this show all the time. Portions, possibly quite frequently.
Ultimate Highlights:
-Running to Stand Stil
-The Electric Co (rivals a spot for the best version of this song EVER)
-Bad (electric...spills into your veins, fills your heart and turns it to glass; proceeds to shatter it at the climax. Tearjerking and beautiful)
-With or Without You (Bono saying "pick it up!" as the band proceeds into the small Edge-driven part of the song between the "oh-oh"s and the "Shine Like Stars' snippet really made this song for me, for some reason)
This is- by far- one of U2's finer moments. Download right away. There won't be a flaw for the next 90 minutes.

Performance:
So inconsistent, it's sad. The highs are oh-so-high, but there are so many scattered lows, I don't really know what to do with this rating.
"Until the End of the World" has a stellar intro and hook, and then Bono tops it off by not coming in at the right time on the first verse. Kills the vibe. Edge screws up the beginning of "Sunday Bloody Sunday", and "I Will Follow" is painstakingly slow. "Running to Stand Still" finally picks the show back up again with it's mysterious rendition, and everything goes fairly fine from there.
Audience:
Extremely difficult to hear.
Sound quality:
Not terrible, especially for a Zoo show, but I still wouldn't jump to anything over a 3.5 here.
Overall:
Perfectly standard, which I know happens, but I was hoping this show- dubbed "Bono's Birthday Party", would be much more of a....well...party. I don't hear anything in this performance that stands out, or shouts "celebration" like some other shows from the tour, and they weren't necessarily celebrating anything else but music those nights.
Highlights:
-All things above aside- the encore brings down the house. Amazing performances.
-Edge singing "Party Girl", though he clearly admits "I don't remember the solo", and, "I don't think I know the rest of the words, either", all while playing the song. Hilarious
-The opening 5 tracks weren't bad either
Lowlights:
The overall inconsistencies. I'll probably never revisit any part of this show again.

Performance:
Decent. It's hard to gauge because of the sketchy sound. The band also somehow slightly mangles ISHFWILY, but those moments can sometimes be cool to hear in a live show. They dealt with it well and all, but it still detracts from a fantastic performance.
Bono also seems to think he's in an opera house. Songs like "Bad" and "New Years Day" might as well have been sung by Pavarotti himself. Miss Sarajevo? Sure. Bad? No thank you, I'll just have my Bono please.
Audience:
Good audience, nothing to rant and rave about.
Sound quality:
A 3 on AVERAGE, but that means highs and lows too. The sound throughout Hawkmoon was fairly average for an 80's bootleg, I thought, but I honestly had to check my iTunes to realize that they had begun playing Desire. It sounded like the exact same song. I realized that The Edge's guitar wasn't very clear at all- it wasn't just how it was supposed to sound during Hawkmoon. I wasn't overly impressed by this one.
Overall:
Nothing I'll be revisiting. Check out some of the earliest Lovetown shows or a Point Depot show to really capitalize on what Lovetown was all about. This bootleg is great for performances that were super-rare, like "Hawkmoon" and "God Part II", but the rest of the material was just average.
Highlights:
-Hawkmoon 269
-The Unforgettable Fire (only standout track that wasn't new material)
-God Part II
-Van Dieman's Land (superb)
Lowlights:
-I Will Follow (so slow, I thought I was going to fall asleep)
And although it pains me too much to list it as a lowlight, "Bad" just did NOT cut the mustard for me on this one. And that rarely, rarely happens. Bono takes too many parts down octaves, making them easier to sing, and like I mentioned before, uses that damn opera voice when he shouldn't.

Performance:
Right before the band virtually became megastars..the performances were completely soulful and not caught up in a hectic schedule, the weight of being "Rock's Hottest Ticket", or catering to abotu 200,000 fans in a given week of shows...not that any of those things are BAD...it just made the COH performances really shine, in my opinion.
Audience:
They're good, but the recording probably doesn't do the actual crowd in CA justice
Sound quality:
Pretty bad...still made it through the show, but it's by no means clear or defined in any way.
Overall:
Not a terrible show, but nothing I'll ever revisit. "Pride", "Bad", "Maggie's Farm", and "Sun City" are where this one really stands out...when it can.

Performance:
Right at the beginning of the first leg, and the band already sounds a little uninspired with their performances. Like they know the songs too well already and just sort of want to get through the show. There is a certain amount of energy, but this performance to me is perfectly average.
Audience:
They come through pretty good in the recording. They don't take up too much space, but they are audible.
Sound quality:
Again, nothing to glorify, but is surely listenable. Everything is clear. I like Edge's guitar sound and vocals on this one.
Overall:
Nothing overly impressive. Like I said before, the band sounds strangely uninspired. I do enjoy the fact that they were a bit more liberal with the setlist on the first leg, in that they toyed with it quite a bit and although the songs themselves didn't change, positions were altered until they found the perfect set. I loved Zoo Station/Fly/MW closing the main set as opposed to Pride/Streets/One, which instead outfit the encore.
The only highlights of this show, for me, were:
-New Years Day
-The Fly
-Mysterious Ways
Skippable show, in my opinion.

Performance:
Not only is this one of- if not the- best performance(s) of the 360° Tour, this is one of the band's best shows I feel they've ever played. The setlist was fresh, unlike later 360° shows where it became stale, and the band is very into the new material as well as excited to revisit the old.
Audience:
I understand that the audience is heavily determined by the sound of the bootleg, since the exact roar of a crowd can never QUITE be replicated...but this is, hands down and by far, the greatest recording of an audience I have ever heard. Listen to "Magnificent", "Pride", "Still Haven't Found"...virtually EVERY song is carried by band and crowd alike, as one, but the truly great ones soar.
Sound quality:
I know- ridiculous, right? I'm rating everything 5 stars. I wouldn't be doing it if it weren't for a reason.
You could have told me that this was ripped from a DVD of the 360° Tour, and I wouldn't have questioned it in the SLIGHTEST. The sound is impeccable. YOU CANNOT PASS THIS UP.
Overall:
Halfway through the show, I knew this would be in my top 10. An exciting time for U2 fans- the third proper show of the 360° Tour...this stuff was BRAND NEW. I'm going to take an incredibly bold step and say that not only was this entire show a highlight, but also as a whole, a highlight of this band's career. Perhaps the bootleg does the gig more justice than it deserves, because everything about it is so top notch...but I don't care. And frankly, neither should you. This is everything a bootleg listener could want, and SO much more. If you listen to shows frequently, this will be a candy-coated, delicious TREAT to your ears. If you're looking for a great show to pass the time, and don't want to deal with the downfalls of traditional bootlegs, this show is your absolute bread and butter.
Highlights: I pretty much liked all the stuff that came between "Kingdom of Your Love" and "Moment of Surrender"
Lowlights: Ha. Good one.

Performance:
Stellar performance...some are way too fast, which could be a result of the taping and transfer, but overall a great energetic listen.
Audience:
Pretty good when you can hear them. The quality is utterly...just....BAD. So they're not always what you're hearing the most of; usually it's static, hissing, and sketchy in-and-out guitar. But the parts that they're involved in, they're nice and loud.
Sound quality:
Wow...I was skeptical about downloading a 1-star bootleg, but I'm all about hearing the best and worst lately, so I decided that it wouldn't be too bad. Ladies and gentlemen...this is a bad recording. It greatly improved by the end of the show, but there's still a constant hiss that accompanies the show. The drums are sometimes there, and sometimes inaudible- same can be said about Edge. Bono's voice is the best part of this bootleg, and likewise the sound.
Overall:
It was a truly great performance, but I can't get past the sound on this one. It's a little piece of history that's great if you're a hardcore, serious collector, but otherwise, I wouldn't really waste your time. Nothing really jumps out on this one except for "An Cat Dubh". That song always worked wonders for me live when played that early...Bono's voice just soared over the lyrics, especially in the chorus. This bootleg, however, can be easily passed.

Performance:
Not a lot to love about this one. "Mofo" got the show off to a GREAT start, and every performance afterward was completely lackluster. "Miami" was a joke (and I even sometimes enjoy that song), "Bullet' was uninspired, and Bono ends "With or Without You" with, "You guys can stop playing if you want." as the backing track continues to roll, and Edge continues to play gently along with it after the song is over. Instead of letting the song peter out and fade away, he decides to be obnoxious. Not my favorite.
Audience:
Great considering the band was a little off. They went nuts when the main riff of "Bullet" came through, probably since coming off of "Miami" they had no idea what was going on when Edge ripped into the first note. That was cool to hear despite the not-so-hot performance.
Sound quality:
Leaves much to be desired as well, but pretty standard for the PopMart tour, really. Not a lot to moan and groan about here, just a standard 3-star recording. Bass sounds nice.
Overall:
I just really didn't enjoy this show. I originally rated this a 2.5, because I knew I'd never revisit it again, but after re-checking the setlist, I remember why I decided to download in the first place- full performances of "Do You Feel Loved" and "If God Will Send His Angels", which were in fact both highlights of this show. If you're into those songs, give them a chance on this bootleg to hear what they sounded like since they both sort of "died young". Nothing else on this bootleg is worth much.
Highlights:
-Do You Feel Loved
-IGWSHA
-Until the End of the World
Lowlights:
-Staring at the Sun
-Miami/Bullet
-Discotheque (Bono comes in early, has to restart the first verse)
-Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me (Edge doesn't come in until after the stringed backing track that accompanied the bat signal flying around the screen was completely over, leaving too much dead space between the taped intro and the song)

Performance:
Outstanding, really remarkable.
Audience:
A spectacular audience as well...nothing to say that hasn't been said by the other reviewers. It's a really really great crowd!
Sound quality:
The reason I actually still LOVE this bootleg even with the sketchy sound is because before I was introduced to some of the truly high quality recordings on this website, this is what a bootleg SOUNDED like to me. That gritty, pitchy, clearly trasnferred from some sort of cassette sound. So quality-wise, it really is only a 3 or so. But emotionally, the sound should carry an old fashioned, nostalgic, and in a sense, true feeling.
Overall:
A 5 star show for me that I can't say I'll ever forget. This one will get revisited time and time again.
Highlights: (Since there were many, I'll post the absolute-best)
-The Unforgettable Fire
-Sunday Bloody Sunday
-Bad
-Party Girl
-Spanish Eyes
-With or Without You

Performance:
Pretty nice...good to hear they were familiar with the songs, and not like some young bands and being careless and focusing on performing more than performing the SONGS.
Audience:
Realllllly tough to hear, but the sound quality of the band is really what this boot is all about. I'll gladly take an '81 recording that sounds like this if it means the audience isn't as audible.
Sound quality:
Seriously stunning. Like I_LIKE_U2 said, it's better than the sound qualities of many boots circulating today!
Overall:
I actually really enjoyed listening to this show! Another great pick of the month, U2Start Crew!
My Highlights:
-An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart
-Boy-Girl leading straight into Out of Control was priceless
-A Day Without Me (crowd would have added a lot of energy to this, but the performance is nearly flawless in every way)

Performance:
Very good performance...the band seems to be very in touch with the crowd, from what I can gather. Bono even pulls a fan up onstage at one point, and he plays the notes to "A Sort of Homecoming", which the band goes along with, though some of the lyrics seem to be forgotten, and Edge plays around with the guitar part, as this is clearly unrehearsed. A real treat though!
Audience:
By FAR the best part of this show. It's really just a fairly standard Elevation show, because I've heard a ton of them, being a heavy listener, but this audience really shines. I don't know if its just because of the mix of band/crowd or if they were really just spectacular, but I also don't care- my favorite part of this boot.
Sound quality:
Sometimes breached a 4, but mainly just a solid 3.5 all the way around. I've been more impressed with shows like 2001-05-16 (Chicago) and 2001-11-23 (Phoenix)
Overall:
This is a somewhat more experienced rating, if I can say that without sounding cocky. I've listened to quite a few Elevation Tour shows, and this falls right in the very middle in terms of greatness. There's not much to dislike, but nothing jumps out either. I have several highlights, but nothing that pushes this show onto any immediate favorites-lists for me. Download if you're an enthusiast or if this is a hometown gig, but otherwise, skip it and find something truly spectacular.
Highlights:
-Elevation
-Until the End of the World
-A Sort of Homecoming
-Sill Haven't Found>Three Little Birds>Pride (works really well in my opinion)

Performance:
An excellent performance, truly great to listen to...the thing is, is that once you've heard so many Vertigo shows, they all tend to blend together....but not this one. The setlist is shaken just a tad, with Mysterious Ways towards the front, and a couple other surprises here and there (Mary J. Blige, Brandon Flowers)...the Vegas magic worked wonders on this Vertigo show
Audience:
Fantastic, fantastic blend of crowd and band, great participation, and clearly a celebration of the Vertigo Tour.
Sound quality:
Nothing stellar, but very listenable in my opinion.
Overall:
Gotta leave this one with a four. The whole show left me wanting just a LITTLE bit more out of the boys. What I looked forward to most- early Mysterious Ways, Until the End of the World- let me down; they were just adequate. However, the encore was spectacular- more on that later- so instead of an average 3, I bumped it up to a 4.
I rate songs as I go on iTunes, listening to the boot, and use their 5-star system per song. ISHFWILY thru Sometimes all earned 5 stars for me. Those performances were amazing. From there, it took them until "One" with Mary J. Blige to really elevate me again. That performance was THROUGH THE ROOF, AMAZING. I never liked her studio cut of the song, but DAMN- something about the live atmosphere swept her up and just took the song to an entirely different level. After that, it was all upwards.
The entire encore is where this show is at. From Zoo Station all the way thru Bad, I couldn't stop rating the songs 5 star. Every single song in the encore- from the tired "With or Without You" to my not-so-favorite "All Because Of You"- every performance was worth 5 stars.
I always find something to love about random shows that U2 does, which is why I don't even really "hunt" for good shows anymore. It occasionally becomes a matter of point-and-click once I'm on a tour's page. If you're considering this show, download it now, and stop wasting time looking for anything else. This one's worth it.

Performance:
Just an all-around 4 star performance. Nothing stands out as particularly AMAZING, but all of the songs are in pretty top form.
Audience:
Another great Elevation crowd, though the tour was getting mildly old by then...I was incredibly happy with the mix of audience/band, but more on that in the sound portion.
Sound quality:
Parts of this show sound pro-recorded. "Elevation" was a little wavy, almost like cupping your hands around your ears at times. The taper was probably just getting things ready, though, for an amazing recording that followed. From BD all the way through the entire show, the sound was AWESOME- probably the best sounding Elevation boot I've ever heard...if not, it's tied for first or second. At the present time, a better sounding bootleg escapes me.
Overall:
Even though the sound was the only thing meriting a 4.5 star recording, some of the treats throughout this show bump it straight up to a 4.5 star.
-All I Want is You (gave me chills)
-Please
-In God's Country
-Beautiful Day's IGC snippet
Those were the really spectacular parts, and now for the other noteworthy highlights-
-New Years Day
-Out of Control
-Kite
-Walk On
Lowlights:
-I Shall Be Released (I dig fan participation on stage- but this song has never done it for me, and it was a bit of a burp within the show, I thought)
-Bullet the Blue Sky
-What's Going On
I would reccomend this show to Elevation Tour enthusiasts, but there are a few better shows you could grab. If you're from Phoenix, download this right away- U2's desert spirit that they channeled into The Joshua Tree appear again in this performance, and it shouldn't be missed if this is a hometown gig for you. Otherwise, try out a New York, Chicago, or one of the Slane shows for a truly sparkling performance. This one just happens to be on the better end of the "really good"...by no means in the upper echelon of the "BEST"

Performance:
Oh, man, what a night...St. Patty's ZooTV, what more could you really ask for from an Irish band in Boston on that night? The performance is hysterical and fun; more of a party than a rock show, and with the countless rock n' roll Zoos we were given, I'll gladly accept this holiday as a party show. It's in no way a top notch performance, but it is in such great spirit that it deserves almost the highest marks. Everyone- and clearly, EVERYONE- is a little tipsy on stage
Audience:
They couldn't be loving the show any more- probably just as far gone as the band!
Sound quality:
Here's the downfall; this one doesn't fall much further than the 3.5 range. The spirit, energy, and alcohol content of the show is well worth the download though!
Overall:
There are just so many things to love about this bootleg...
-The entire song "Zoo Station" is hysterical with the band's entrance, where Bono wastes no time proving that he's drunk
-Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (simply because I'll always love this song on ZooTV no matter what, and they actually seemed to have taken this one half seriously)
-Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World, introduced by Adam so hastily and carelessly that it actually made me laugh out loud!
-Van Dieman's Land into Bad is simply, utterly, orgasmic. It is a BRILLIANT transition and I have no idea why it wasn't done more often. A staple in this show.
-RTSS/Streets
-With or Without You
There are no lowlights, folks. Mysterious Ways stretches out a BIT long, but all it takes is to imagine the crowd partying and dancing and drinking along with the band to relieve the impatience. Download this show! It's worth a listen. May not receive many repeats on my end, but I know now that I have an honorary St. Patty's Day show that will get played at least once a year!

Performance:
One of my absolute all-time favorite shows; my #11, just barely not making my profile's Top 10 Bootlegs. There is no reason not to immediately download this show. The performance is truly top notch, and although Bono occasionally sounds tired in speech, the songs thrive.
Audience:
Sometimes a little bit loud/chatty, but never unbearable. They are encompassed in the show, and the whole arena's atmosphere is captured in this recording, from the front row to the nosebleeds. Everyone is involved.
Sound quality:
Good enough for me. Personally, I think every tour has its own "classic" bootleg sound, based on the types of venues played on that tour, the way the sound was engineered that time around, etc...and this sounds like a classic high-quality Elevation boot to me.
Overall:
There aren't enough good things to be said about this show. The ZooTV surprise is to die for, especially with The Fly rocking so early on. "The Sweetest Thing" is also amazing, and "Angel of Harlem" is nice as well. One of the only full-out acoustic performances of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" makes an appearance here too, and is worth downloading the show for by itself.
There are no lowlights. This is a stellar, stellar performance. Add this to your collection now!!!!

Performance:
Didn't really care for this one too much. Bono talks his way through "City of Blinding Lights", loses his place multiple times on the "Crazy Tonight" remix, and some of the songs are performed noticeably slower. The "woo-oohs" in "Elevation" just didn't happen either. Setlist changeup was cool to hear, but also makes me appreciate the usual- albeit stale- set.
Audience:
They enjoyed themselves, and I'm pretty sure I heard a guy say "Whoa. That's cool!" during the opening hook of "Vertigo" when the stage turns into a strobe light. I usually don't like too much audience chatter, but that brought a chuckle.
Sound quality:
Again, not the best I've ever heard. It seemed better at the end, but for the few first songs, it was coming through in waves. By the end, I was used to it, but this is a 3.5 in my ears.
Overall:
3.5 for the effort and changes, really. The different setlist and also the ZooBaby intro to "Ultraviolet" were cool, but certain performances just didn't live up to other performances surrounding this show.
Highlights:
-Until the End of the World (performed slower than usual, at least I thought, but Edge is at the very front of it and I love it)
-Vertigo
-Moment of Surrender
Lowlights:

Performance:
A pretty good, pretty energetic early performance on the European leg of The Unforgettable Fire tour. Nothing shocking, nothing amazing, but still very good.
Audience:
A little overpowering at times, but incredibly enthusiastic
Sound quality:
Not that great, but nothing unlistenable. I would say only go for this show if you're a fanatic about this era, or a total completionist. Otherwise, there are plenty of other awesome sounding shows that beat this one out.
Overall:
A good listen, but nothing I'll probably ever touch again.

Performance:
Amazing, spectacular performance. Can't find a single bad thing to say about it.
Audience:
Again, truly phenomenal. They were the most prominent part of this show, as the sound wasn't exactly top-notch. Loud, but never annoying.
Sound quality:
The first few songs are more of a 2.5, but it gradually gets easier to listen to. This is this show's only downfall- the sound really just isn't that great. It was very listenable by the end though- don't know if I just got used to it, or if the sound actually improved little bits throughout the way. I couldn't even hear The Edge's intro to "Where the Streets Have No Name", and barely heard the opening of "I Will Follow" over the boom of the crowd after Edge started playing it, but songs like "New Years Day" came across nice and clear.
Overall:
Since the sound is such a crucial part of a bootleg, this one is only getting a 4 from me. An awesome JT show, but also not the best I've ever heard. Maybe I would throw it in my top 3, but even then only #3. That's alright though- listening to U2 shows becomes more and more about variety the more you do it, and "Trip Through Your Wires" being so much later in the setlist than I'm used to was a great change...and hey- sometimes it's even kinda cool to listen to a not-so-great-sounding bootleg.
Highlights:
-The Unforgettable Fire
-A Sort of Homecoming
-Exit
-In Gods Country
-Trip Through Your Wires
-Bad
Not a bad pick for Show of the Month, March 2010, guys!

Performance:
Bono "talks" some of the lyrics, which totally turns me off. He sings Ultraviolet a whole octave lower, so it requires practically no effort, though still manages to sound decent. And Desire is mostly spoken, which doesn't fly well with me.
Sunday Bloody Sunday is also very slow, so it seems, and loses some of it's articulate punch without the drive.
Audience:
Nine times out of ten, when you can hear them, they're not contributing anything to the show, but they aren't particularly annoying and don't detract anything from the show. I'll round my original 3.5 up to a 4 on this one.
Sound quality:
Pretty good for a ZooTV show, but not without its flaws...sometimes I can't tell who's singing, either Bono or The Edge...its just something about when they're singing together, the mix throws me off and I can't decipher who it is. For all I knew sometimes, it could have been an audience member. But it wasn't TERRIBLE sound, either.
Overall:
My ratings were pretty much consistent 3.5's all the way across the board, and here's why. This show wasn't terrible. It wasn't painful to listen to. But there are two things about it that made me not want to revisit this show.
1)The performance is inconsistent. Some of the greatest highlights (and some songs truly were great- "Running to Stand Still" with an awe-inspiring outro, Bullet the Blue Sky just before that, and Until the End of the World) were just too far between. I felt like this show was very, very inconsistent. Perfect word to describe what I thought of this show.
2)Probably goes hand in hand with #1...but I just couldn't feel the ZooTV spirit. The satirical, party animal element of the first couple of songs just didn't seem to be as prominent, and the unenthused Bono didn't help much either. There just wasn't that aura of greatness surrounding this show, for whatever reason.
The ultimate highlight is the trio of Dirty Old Town (sung by Larry!!!), Angel of Harlem, and Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World. This was the real excellent part of the show for me, when I found myself enjoying it the most.
Give this one a listen only if you're a serious ZooTV enthusiast. If not, you're better off searching for a better, more glittering prize of a show.

Performance:
Pretty good early performance. The band is excited to be touring, and it shows in the recording. Everyone is energetic and there are few flubs.
Audience:
Not actually audible during the songs, but their responses afterwards are good.
Sound quality:
Really good for 1981, and very very listenable.
Overall:
Great show for its nostalgia purposes, with awesome performances of the early stuff, and the unreleased tracks are amazing to hear as well. This was a nice listen.
Highlights:
-An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart
-The Electric Co.
-Out of Control (we're going home now!)
-Bono's closing remark just before Twlight ends- 'I'm not afraid of the dark.'

Performance:
Edge's guitar goes out for about 5 seconds during Sunday Bloody Sunday. That is literally the ONLY thing wrong with this performance.
Audience:
Loud as hell, but perfectly mixed.
Sound quality:
Not much greatness here, but what do you expect from a 1986 audience recording? The band is audible, but it definitely sounds like an audience source, I won't lie. But for 45 minutes of sheer U2 beauty, it can be EASILY overlooked.
Overall:
Everything I WASN'T looking forward to about this show, I loved. "Pride" and "Maggie's Farm", I wasn't all that cracked up about listening to. The former is on just about every show I ever listen to, and it gets tiring, the latter I just didn't care much about. They ended up both being phenomenal.
The "Norwegian Wood" intro to "Bad" is outstanding, and chorus gives me goosebumps. Listen to some recent shows (Vertigo, 360°), and then give this one a spin- Yes, folks- Bono DID used to sound like that
Everything about this show is simply gorgeous. Download it RIGHT. NOW.

Performance:
They were really on that night. Edge screws up one note in the intro of "The Fly", but the rest of that track ROCKS. Larry also ends "One" a little early, but catches himself, and they finish it proper...makes for an interesting ending, but it still works out. Other than a few minor, forgivable flaws, their performance was inspired and grand.
Audience:
Mixed in VERY well because of the broadcast audio.
Sound quality:
Everyone seems to be complaining about the "terrible" quality of "The Electric Co.", "New Years Day" and "Beautiful Day", but if the whole show were just that quality and had never been broadcasted, I wouldn't have minded listening to the whole thing that way. If you're a serious bootleg listener like I am, this won't set you back even a little bit. If you're only into the pro-stuff, then it might irritate you, but its hardly enough to NOT download the show for.
The broadcast audio is A+
Overall:
Thoroughly enjoyed this whole show. This Vertigo performance seemed to act as a SHOW, not just a bunch of songs, like the VT setlist sometimes did. This was definitely a rock show at its finest.
Highlights:
-Elevation
-All I Want is You
-Where the Streets Have No Name
-The whole encore

Performance:
Pretty awesome, although The Edge was having a bit of an off night during some portions, it seems. EBTTRT was loaded with off-notes/screw ups, and I initially thought "Out of Control" was too, but upon another listen, it seems like maybe the notes he's playing make sense, they just sound out of place. The rest of the band sounds good though, and Bono is having a good night vocally.
Audience:
Very good, nice and loud when they should be, and no one is annoying.
Sound quality:
Pretty good, but not perfect- about average quality for an arena show, I'd say. Nothing that's completely unlistenable.
Overall:
It's worth listening to, because it's a very spirited show, and the boys are always ecstatic to be in Boston. There are also quite a few great songs in here, and even though Edge sounds a little funny sometimes in "Out of Control", i wasn't paying attention to iTunes when I had the show on, and it completely caught me off guard to hear, in a good way.
Highlights:
-Elevation (Pump it Up snippet made this for me)
-Until the End of the World
-Stuck in a Moment
-Kite
-Desire (Snippets, again, are awesome)
-Stay
-Bad
-Streets
-Walk On
No real lowlights, to be perfectly honest. Just an all around 4-star show for me.

Performance:
Bono seems bored. The rest of the band is spot on, but all the way through "Staring at the Sun", he just sounded like he did NOT want to be there. SATS was amazing, with the crowd participation, but all the tracks before that were slightly lackluster.
Audience:
Really amazing blend of audience and band in this one. Like I mentioned above, SATS is amazing, and is worth a download alone.
Sound quality:
Pretty good- not perfect- but still extremely listenable. I never found myself regretting this one because of the sound.
Overall:
The performance is just absolutely standard. I found nothing special about this show- and hey, sometimes that happens. There's only a couple freakin' hundred U2 shows, you're bound to catch a dull one now and then. Bono's lameness during the first half of the show slowed things down for me, but the highlights are "Please" and "Staring at the Sun". Download for those, you won't be disappointed.

Performance:
Some performances were absolutely stellar (Crazy Tonight, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Ultraviolet), but 5 stars means it was a perfect performance, and it just wasn't. Some songs were just slightly below par in comparison to other shows on the tour.
Everybody thinks "Stay" was amazing this night because it was 360°'s debut performance, and it was performed in the city it was written in. In reality, "Stay" was messy and just all over the place, really. It seriously let me down.
Audience:
They're ecstatic, let there be no doubt about it. Good mix of them and the band in the sound, they carry the singalongs like "Pride" and "With or Without You"
Sound quality:
Portions may as well have been professional, I kid you not.
Overall:
I'm going to make an exception, and even though the performance wasn't perfect, making this NOT a 'perfect' show (and yes- those DO exist!), this show did SO much for me, I can't give it anything less than a 5. The portion of the show that usually bores me (SBS thru Walk On) was actually some of the most entertaining music of the whole night. "Crazy Tonight" gets tiring after listening to so many bootlegs of it, but this performance was just popping with energy, excitement, and SCREAMED party.
Highlights:
-Beautiful Day
-City of Blinding Lights
-Crazy Tonight
-Sunday Bloody Sunday
-Pride (In the Name of Love)
-Where the Streets Have No Name
-Ultraviolet
-With or Without You
Ladies and gentlemen, that's a LOT of highlights. The songs I usually get SO sick of in boots ( BD, SBS, WOWY, Pride, etc.) are seriously what MAKES this show, and all of the other songs are amazing too. Download this gem, NOW. I just finished listening about an hour ago, and I already want to give it another run.

Performance:
WOW. I cannot say enough good things about this show. Jumped into my top 10 directly after I listened to it. The band is simply SPOT ON, leaving almost NO room for improvement. Bono's voice was in the highest form it has ever seen, and each and every member of U2 was laying down the absolute LAW that night! I don't use all-caps words that often, people- this show was the bomb.
Audience:
A little hard to hear at times, but ultimately involved and responsive.
Sound quality:
Fantastic for a 1987 show. I've only heard one or two better sounding shows from the JT Tour.
Overall:
This version of "Bad" rivals the show from Rosemont, IL that is arguably U2's best show EVER, right up there with the Dublin RDS show of 93. In fact- it is better. There you have it. The best version of "Bad" that I've ever heard lies in this bootleg. You need to download it. Now.
Other best performances ever? "The Unforgettable Fire". It is the absolute standout track in this show, in my opinion. Bono's voice is so strong, and he carries the melody with such passion that the life of the song is truly experienced.
"A Sort of Homecoming" is excellent too, with the live feel, not the produced studio feel, and the crowd loves to sing along with it.
Ladies and gentlemen, every song on this bootleg is worth listening to time and time again. This show will never be forgotten, at least not by me. Do yourself a favor- stop reading, start downloading, and make some unforgettable memories.

Performance:
Excellent performance- the band felt really alive, and you could tell they were glad to be back in New York. The energy of the show is enough to give the show a listen, for sure.
Audience:
Really just a top notch audience, actively participating in the show and really in awe of what the band was doing.
Sound quality:
The sound is NOT a 2-star recording, like the page suggests. I hope we can get this changed. The sound is great, in my opinion. The band can be heard clearly, the audience blends well, and the sound is not even distant. I'll never understand why this was originally rated a 2. Some of the 360° shows circulating now are rated 4-star, and sound worse than this.
Overall:
While the performance and audience were both spot on, and the sound was a very very nice surprise from what I expected, this isn't exactly a "stand out" Vertigo show, which is what I would save a 5 for. Download this if you're not 100% familiar with the Vertigo Tour, or if you haven't heard many high-energy shows lately/at all. I'll only remember certain parts of this show for being absolutely stand-out, and they are....
Highlights:
-The Electric Co.
-The Fly (I don't know what Bono was saying when he changed one of the last lyrics, but he was so energetic when he said it, and the crowd simply ate it up)
-Miss Sarajevo (opera section is to die for on this boot)
-Bad
There weren't any true lowlights, just the fact that this show didn't really do a hell of a lot to stand out to me. Maybe it will for you though, and it's worth a listen, so give it a shot.

Performance:
For those who aren't aware (and I doubt there are many of you, if you've gotten far enough to be reading the reviews of this random show), this was U2's big homecoming to Slane Castle. Just over 15 years after the band had recorded "The Unforgettable Fire" in the same building, and a mere four days after Bono's father passed away.
Considering the heavy rollercoaster of emotions- that of playing a show to an unthinkable mass of people next to one of the biggest cornerstone building's of your career, coupled with the tragic death of your father- the band was absolutely on fire. Everything sounds fresh and energetic when it should, and emotional and heartfelt when appropriate. Bono making references to his father and still holding up through the concert is a remarkable thing to be able to hear on this bootleg.
Audience:
The audience isn't the most crystal clear aspect of the bootleg, particularly since this isn't an arena recording and their echoes aren't projected as well, but also because of the taper's location/equipment. This isn't a large gripe- this is actually one of those recordings where it actually sounds like you could be there. The boom of the low end isn't as prominent, but that live feeling ever-loved by bootleg listeners is here, and it's mighty.
The audience carried Bono that night, so he says, and it truly shows.
Sound quality:
Bit of a downfall for me, here. I'm a stickler, and when it comes to Elevation shows, I have heard some AMAZING quality shows. This isn't one of those. The sound doesn't jump higher than a 3.5 for me, but this is honestly NO reason not to listen to this one. The circumstances of the night alone are enough to make every second of this one worthy.
Overall:
Perfect 5 stars for me. Usually I knock off a half, sometimes even a whole point when the sound just isn't cutting it. But virtually every other aspect of this show is u2 gold. "A Sort of Homecoming" seems a bit more stripped down, and is rightfully played next to it's birth place. The song isn't as produced as it is on the album in this bootleg, and will forever remain my favorite part of the entire show.
Highlights:
A Sort of Homecoming
Kite
Bad (the "Yellow" snippet is weird to me, but somehow works)
Where the Streets Have No Name
Walk On
There are no lowlights. This show is fantastic. Grab it now.

Performance:
Stellar Zoo performance...last night of the tour, and as both the band and Willie Williams have written about in books and such, this show was a gigantic party and a celebration.
Audience:
Hard to hear sometimes, they can be heard at the big audience points of a show, but other than that, there's not much coming from them in the sound.
Sound quality:
Not perfect by any means...actually, fairly similar to the sound quality of most Zoo shows, in my opinion. The sound is ever-so-slightly tinny, and the snare drum is very audible. The band sounds distant, however, and the sometimes muffled sound due to probably being deep in the audience makes this a 3.5
Overall:
Very enjoyable to be able to hear the famous "The Zoo is Closed" show (though I was hoping Bono would say this at some point during the show- unless I missed it, he didn't say it), but that's a very small thing to complain about. The sound and lack of audience roar at the appropriate places is what draws this down for me.
The absolute highlight of the show is "Lemon". Coming from someone who practically disowned the song from his U2 collection for so many years, that's a big deal. I finally saw the light with this song, and on the final night of ZooTV and Lemon's consequential last performance, it was a PARRRTTY. I felt so good just listening to it.
Highlights:
The Fly
Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World
Lemon
With or Without You (Beginning was a little weird with the drone of Lemon carrying over for too long, but the "Love Will Tear Us Apart" snippet at the end made it for me)
Lowlights:
Only the sound. No bad performances this time around.
Aaaannnd.....the Zoo is CLOSED!

Performance:
Well developed performances of the songs by this point, Bono sounds well for the most part, and Adam and Larry are really tight. Edge is so distant in this show that it's hard to tell if he ever screws up, but the general energy suggests that he was on fire as well.
Audience:
A tad hard to hear the WHOLE audience as opposed to just the members surrounding the taper, but songs like Sunday Bloody Sunday and One are absolutely carried by them. They were very into the show from what I could hear, and the only instance of them being annoying was the girl who tried to sing a couple lines here and there. You'll know who I'm talking about.
Sound quality:
Edge is fairly distant in this one, which is hard since the guitar generally dictates the melodic parts of the song. The bass and drums are tight and clear, which is a nice change of pace from sometimes-tinny bootlegs. Bono can be heard well enough, too. The absence of Edge really hits this one hard for me, though.
Overall:
I wasn't displeased with this show at all, but the sound and hit-or-miss audience parts of the show drop this down significantly for me. If only rating the show, this would be more of a 4 or a 4.5, but we're dealing with rating the bootleg here. The sound is a major, major factor on this one. Wish Edge were about twice as loud.
Highlights:
Until the End of the World (Edge NAILS his solo, as much as we can hear )
New Years Day
Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of
One
Zoo Station
The Fly
Kite (If you haven't heard this performance yet, you need to. Epic.)
Lowlights:
Beautiful Day (Suffers due to Edge's quieter guitar)
The Saints are Coming (Never liked this one)
And it would pain me too much to list "Streets" as a lowlight, but I was let down big time- Edge just isn't prominent enough to make this performance enjoyable

Performance:
Have to say, I LOVED this performance. They were really rocking, no holds barred.
Audience:
Couple annoying members, but the rest of the audience was clearly busy getting their faces rocked off, and were caught up in the show too much to be a bother. Great energetic crowd.
Sound quality:
Here's where we suffer. You really sound like you're right there...if this were instead a football stadium, and you were in the highest seats from the bottom, in such a place where all you could hear was the booming. If I hadn't had the track names right in front of my face (or maybe been such a devout U2 fan), I might not have been able to distinguish certain songs.
Overall:
I initially gave this a 3, because the sound is just such an essential barrier to a bootleg, but the energy and passion behind this true rock n' roll show is worth an extra half star. Do yourself a favor and listen through it once, to know what it was like that night. You don't ever have to listen to it again, but it's worth the small amount of your time it'll take.

Performance:
Nice performance- the band never sounds tired. Tour was brand new, people were loving it- they were soaking in the glory of the Elevation Tour. Couple flubs here are there, Bono has a few vocal misses, and Edge's guitar has a few technical problems, but nothing to knock this below 4.5
Audience:
Sounds like I'm right there with them. Rarely are they interrupting, never are they annoying. JUST loud enough on this bootleg, for my tastes anyway.
Sound quality:
No real, serious issues, but Adam can be hard to hear sometimes. Sounds very much like a concert sounds when you have earplugs in, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Overall:
Not a terrible show by any means, but nothing spectacularly amazing. Worth a listen, not worth glamouring over.
Highlights:
-Until the End of the World
-Discotheque/Staring at the Sun
-Bad
-Where the Streets Have No Name
-Mysterious Ways
-With or Without You
and Sweetest Thing is always a plus.
Lowlights:
-New Years Day

Performance:
An excellent 360° performance. The band really seems into it, and very excited to be playing back at home, as always.
Audience:
Decent, at the appropriate times. There are a few moments where annoying crowd members can be heard either conversing or shouting something at the band it seems, but they are few and far between. Nobody truly gets in the way of the experience, but the crowd certainly doesn't carry any songs.
Sound quality:
Again, decent. It was a windy night, so the taper can surely be forgiven- the parts that aren't affected by the wind sound great. But the weather was a factor that night in Dublin, and although the rain only seemed to enhance the atmosphere of the performers, it does tiny damages to the sound here and there. The energy and belief everyone had in that show that night made the slight sound flaws easy to overlook.
Overall:
I was very pleased with this show, moreso than many US dates of 360°, and right up there with the best of the European boots.
Highlights:
-Sunday Bloody Sunday / Rock the Casbah
-Edge's solo in Pride
-Angel of Harlem
-Where the Streets Have No Name (always a highlight, I know, but that night it was crisp and punctuated, the way I believe Edge's guitar in it SHOULD be. Truly a phenomenal performance of Streets- highlight of the show)
Lowlights:
-Breathe seemed a tad rusty this evening
-The end of Vertigo had me very anxious to hear the snippet of "Thunderstruck", and I assumed that Bono would end the song with a prompt and powerful "YOU'VE BEEN THUN-DER-STRUCK!" as Edge hit the last E chord...instead, he just shouted the word "Thunderstruck!" a bunch of times during the "yeah yeah yeah" part. A disappointment, but no reason not to download!

Performance:
A pretty average PopMart show in my opinion. Nothing truly stands out or shines in this show. I can't tell if the band were still enjoying themselves at this point, or had hit a lull and were going through the motions. This show isn't necessarily uninspired, but it's far from top notch in terms of PopMart. The songs sound good. They don't sound phenomenal like they did on the last few shows of the tour when the band celebrated them.
Audience:
Especially prominent in songs that offer sing-a-longs, like "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". Otherwise, Bono takes up most of the mix here.
Sound quality:
Edge's guitar wavers in and out of tune, almost like an old cassette tape would sound if played on your old stereo equipment. Bono is at the very front of this one, which is sometimes nice, and sometimes not too pretty. Not a perfect mix, but again- for shows of this era, nothing that's mind-bogglingly terrible either.
Overall:
It's an alright show that I would reccomend to only completionists and PopMart enthusiasts. Not one I'll be keeping on my iPod, but I'm sure from time to time when I hit PopMart binges I'll listen to this on my computer and not regret it. Good for one listen, but not by any means a cornerstone of this tour.

Performance:
I can be a nitpicker from time to time, but I can't find anything to complain about here. The setlist is almost as standard as it gets for the 3rd leg of the Vertigo Tour- including Miss Sarajevo, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, and The Electric Co. without the Cry intro. Small gems include "Crumbs From Your Table", during which the band apparently had technical problems, but I didn't notice them on my first listen. Bono mentions them after. The placement of "Crumbs" at the front of the set is fresh, and makes the song sound exciting, as opposed to tired at the end of the show.
There's also a nice inclusion of "Stuck in a Moment" in the encore, which is a rarity for Vertigo.
The performances of "Vertigo" and "Miss Sarajevo" are absolutely top notch. "Pride" was astounding as well, and I actually didn't mind "Sunday Bloody Sunday" this time around either, which is one I usually skip on VT bootlegs.
Audience:
They are VERY involved, singing along at all of the appropriate moments, and going absolutely CRAZY for Bono when he does his Pavarotti opera in "Miss Sarajevo". They carry certain songs, and no members are annoying in this recording.
Sound quality:
To me, this is how a bootleg should sound. It doesn't sound pro-recorded, or even soundboard, but instead it feels like you're really there in the Fleet Center, minus the echo and booming noises produced in a room. All 4 members can be heard clearly, particularly The Edge, and Larry, on his big parts. Adam's bass is exactly where it should be, and Bono is mixed perfectly into the sound.
Overall:
I downloaded the entire thing solely to hear "Crumbs From Your Table" placed that early in the setlist, and listened from the beginning to get the feel for that opening 6 songs of the show. I couldn't turn it off afterwards, however- this was not just an average night for Vertigo...this was a performance the band believed in. I hate to write reviews that have 5 stars all the way down sometimes, because it seems as though some people will just think YOU loved the show for some minor reason, and won't take you seriously. But trust me, guys- this one's worth it.
Highlights:
-Vertigo (I cannot stress this enough)
-Crumbs From Your Table
-Miracle Drug (includes the best version of the "Edge is from the future" story I've ever heard)
-Miss Sarajevo
-Where the Streets Have No Name
Lowlights:
-The Ocean (don't strangle me- it's really cool to hear again, especially paired up with The Electric Co., but this version didn't do anything for me even though its a short track)
-Bullet the Blue Sky (Never been good on Vertigo, IMO)
I'm not really sure where to put the encore. It's completely untraditional, in that it includes "The First Time" and "Stuck"...I much preferred the ZooTV encore opener, with Zoo/Fly/Mysterious, and then perhaps playing those two songs before "40" would have been really cool...but I'm just not sure. It doesn't work as an encore for me. Great individual live tracks, but as an encore, the ZooTV throwback spectacle was boggling.

Performance:
I couldn't believe this was a 3rd leg performance- normally at that point, the songs become routine and setlists can become stale...but hearing this show, it was as if the songs were being presented for the first time, the band more enthusiastic than I've ever heard on a US ZooTV bootleg. Bono's voice is both hearty singer and Fly-like party animal all throughout the show, and the rest of the band supports him flawlessly.
Audience:
One barely audible girl does try to sing along a few times, but she's quickly drowned out by crowd noise. They're there, but not an active part of the show in this recording. It is clear that they enjoyed the show, however, and also that Bono was very interactive with them. "Mysterious Ways" got the biggest, most audible chanting going during a song, but this is no showcase of an audience. For that, try out the popular Milan gig.
Sound quality:
I listened to Zoo Station thru Until/World on my way to work, and through a car stereo, I have to admit this sounded not so great. I was disappointed that the recording was rated a 4 until I played the rest of the show through a good pair of headphones- the sound was incredibly improved. Amazed that this good of a recording was taken.
Overall:
Recorded on my first birthday, about 5 minutes from my current house, I may be a bit biased- but downright honestly, had this boot been from anywhere else, I'd have been just as in love with it. It shines ("like stars in the Chicago sky"? Perhaps.) throughout the entire performance.
Highlights:
Zoo Station
Mysterious Ways
Until the End of the World
Whiskey in the Jar
Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World
Angel of Harlem
Love is Blindness
Lowlights:
None. Can't think of anything to complain about other than the aforementioned sound and audience dents.

Performance:
The band has clearly settled into this tour comfortably, and show no mercy at its' end. The setlist rules, providing enough variety for consistent followers. The performance is inspired, truthful, and relatable. Bono's connection to Tokyo can truly be felt- this is not an "Insert city here" type of show.
Audience:
Not terrible on the IEM version, but also not loud. What can you really expect from the band's feed?
Sound quality:
The treble can be a bit high occasionally, leaving the sound tinny, but the crsipness of the guitar and drums are also often nice. The clicks of the IEM are loud, and usually dissipate...but sometimes they're audible, too.
Overall:
Download this right away. It's a great end-of-the-tour memoir.
Highlights:
Vertigo (We're at a place called Tokyo!)
Out of Control
I Still Havent Found...
The First Time (WOW)
Bad
Lowlights:
The clicks of the IEM sometimes
Tinny sound

Performance:
This early show really shows the confidence the band had in the tour at this point. The Edge's guitar rips through the air, Bono's voice sounds as decent as it ever would on this tour, and the rhythm section is incredibly tight.
Audience:
A little hard to hear in the IEM matrix, but definitely responding to the songs and supporting the band.
Sound quality:
Wow. This could be the most clear, even IEM of the tour that I've listened to. I'm seriously amazed at the sound during "Vertigo". Almost all 4 members can be heard at the perfect levels. The clicks of the IEM are completely masked by the band's sound more often than not, leaving the audio sounding as clean as some radio broadcasts.
Overall:
I haven't listened to a Vertigo show I've enjoyed this much in a very, very long time. Don't hesitate to grab this Glendale bootleg- but make sure it's the IEM matrix. The clicks become barely noticable, and the sound is really magical.
Highlights-
Vertigo
Elevation
Gloria
Miracle Drug
Running to Stand Still
The Fly
Lowlights-
Hate to say it, but 40 leaves something to be desired since the audience is a bit harder to hear. Still a treat- but not everything the song can be.
