This was my second ever U2 show (I saw them the night before) and so I will always look back with rose-tinted glasses. However, listening to the boot I am just dissappointed. Bono's voice is so poor. Off-key at times and weak for the most part. It's a shame, because the rest of the band seem to have a decent night, although Edge makes a couple of mistakes.

I'm rating the IEM recording here.

IEM's are usually considered to be top recordings, though this one suffers from a 'ticking' sounds throughout Discotheque and into IYWTVD/WOWY. Also, towards the end of the boot there seems to be alot of distrtion on the sound. Lastly, the audience can't be heard very well, making this not one for the overall 'feel' of the gig.

Desperate to see the band 4 years after their last Wembley appearance, the audience were well up for this. On the IEM recording you can't hear the audience very well though.

I love Pop as an album and do wish they would bring some songs back, especially Gone, LNON and Miami, so they would be highlights for me.

As for lowlights - why oh why oh why did they ever think wasting 3 minutes on kareoke was ever a good idea? Edge didn't really seem to want to sing and it kind of puts the brakes on the whole show.
