The band really perform a great show. The Edge's guitar playing is excellent. Adam Clayton's bass playing is exhilarating, as ever. Larry's drums stand out. Bono's usual snippets every 3 or 4 songs are included indefinately. 5 star performance, no doubt.
The sound is almost upto proper standards. Because it's from TV / Radio, that makes it better. Great sound, almost perfect. Recording: "Pump it up, George" - 5 stars
Could have been a bit more excited.
Highlights: Miami (never liked it before), Until The End of the World, Last Night on Earth, If You Wear That Velvet Dress, Bono's Whole Lotta Love snippet, New Year's Day, One, Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me, Mysterious Ways, Pride and Edge's Karoake.

NOTE (from Sean's CDR Trading Site run by Sean Spindler): Live from Leeds, England on August 28th, 1997 at Roundhay Park.
This was broadcast (in error) on French radio in Dec, 1997. This is from a DAT Master.
Quality is absolutely spectacular!!! This bootleg was produced by Jerome Lamboley. He took the French radio broadcast
of this concert, cut the jingles and announcers talking and added the only missing track, "Mysterious Ways"
from an audience recording. Sound quality on the soundboard tracks is nearly perfect.
There is incredible detail in some of the songs. My version originally contained some ticks between some of the tracks,
as well as some strange flaws in numerous tracks. I've removed the ticks, the flaws (mostly empty spaces in a few tracks),
some loud "clapping" in two places in the audience track, and increased the levels about 2dB...If you have "Le Cock Up",
do yourself a favor and GET THIS SET!! You won't be disappointed

"Yep, there is some fine tunes already finished for the album.
We're about two songs away from a classic U2 album."
- The Edge, 1999
did you know
The band considered releasing The Joshua Tree as a double-album that would have included B-sides. Bono was the most vocal proponent of the idea, whereas The Edge argued for the 11-track version that was ultimately released.
