Performance notes: Sunday Bloody Sunday was performed solo by The Edge for the first time and was played in this manner for the rest of the Popmart Tour. Miss Sarajevo was played with Brian Eno. U2 visited Sarajevo to fulfill a promise made during the Zoo TV Tour to play in war-ravaged Bosnia-Herzegovina. It was the first concert the band played in any country that was formerly part of Yugoslavia; the second did not take place until 9 August 2009 in Zagreb, Croatia.

Performance

The band was on point as far as I can tell, except for Bono, which for me significantly brings the whole show down since vocals are a huge part.

Highlights: One/Unchained Melody, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Please/Streets, Miss Sarajevo

Bono's vocal problems begin on LNOE. They continue to be quite lacking but he is still able to perform most of the show properly, until Pride that is. Bono's voice is dead, he cannot sing Pride's chorus. Edge has to step in and sing it, which he honestly does a great job of. ISHFWILF wasn't too bad, neither was AIWIY until the Many Rivers to Cross snippet, where when he tries to sing "Many Rivers To Cross" you honestly can't even really tell that's what he's saying. Staring At The Sun is pretty chill and I think his voice got a little time to recover, and then Edge does SBS on his own for the first time and it's a great little bit. Afterwards is BTBS, where his voice starts to improve some. It's still a bit shaky for the rest of the show, but for the most part the worst of it is over.

Sound

The recording quality was pretty good. No complaints here.

Audience

Didn't hear much of them, which I like. At the end of Mysterious Ways they're singing "it's all right, it's all right, it's all right, she moves in mysterious ways" and they are very loud lmao. So it's most likely just the recording, and the instrumentals being significantly louder.

Overall

Overall, this show should've been better, but Bono's voice was just not there that night. Luckily though, it brought out some cool stuff with Edge singing the chorus & performing SBS on his own. Plus, the only PopMart Miss Sarajevo was not too bad. So, if you're looking for a show to play on repeat, this isn't it, but it's good for a listen or 2.
