Performance

The band was very good but there's a major screw-up during The Fly. Edge came in too early with the solo.

Sound

Birdman's is a very good audience recording, I dare say better than Fradoca's.
The latter is an incomplete ALD source with some fluctuations, but Birdman's sounds very good,
bringing the live feeling to the boot.

Recording: "Birdman Remaster" - 4.5 stars

Overall

One of the best Vertigo bootlegs of the 1st leg. This was a "rehearsal" for the Chicago DVD. They were filming the show and it looks like due to some tech problems the show started late, but the crowd and the band were in a great mood and relaxed. With Beautiful Day following COBL the audience was already into it. Great interaction during Elevation and Gloria/The Ocean was a nice change (you can hear the "oh my god" screams of surprised fans). I'm usually not a fan of LAPOE, but it sounded great here. Then we have the highlight of the show with Bad. The song picks up right when you think it's over, like in the old times. Streets was also very strong. Before One Bono urges the crowd to call Canadian PM about helping Africa and he continued that even during One. It didn't bother me but I get it if some people are distracted by that. Another highlight was Mysterious Ways. After Edge's killer solo, the outro was extended a lot. Original Of The Species was not quite there, this was one of the first versions and it's not as good as the 3rd or 4th leg versions.
Overall, this is one bootleg worth checking it out.
