Performance

OK, my first review, for the first concert i had ever been to, and what a 1st experience it was. i was about 3m away from the left b-stage, and the whole night was f-ing amazing, i made eye contact with the edge for a few seconds, people never believe me but i have the image burnt into my memory(doesnt really prove it though), lol. The band all seemed to be in good touch, lots of bono chatter which i liked, also some nice snippets.

COBL: nice performance, some annoyying lady singing (she ruins a few songs), i loved the ending,but which south aussies wouldnt? 7.5/10

Vertigo: no snippet at the end, WTF, thats always the best part of vertigo when he gets the crowd going ala u23d, doesnt happen here so only 7/10

Elevation: like the intro chatter, one of my favourtite versions of this song, but is ruined by poor quality and that bloody lady singing. 8.5/10

IWF: stock standard performance, 7.5/10

NYD: once again nice intro, bono talks about not performing in Adelaide for 8 years, IT WAS 13 years TO THE DAY, this supports the hypothesis of him not knowing where the hell he is 7.5/10

BD: Awesome performance with the Adelaide references, kicks arse, once again annyoing lady is singing and ruins it. 8/10

SIAMYCGOO: very well played, would be in top 3 performances of this song without a doubt, with improved audio possibly THE best, and if someone shot that annoying lady, nice tribute to Michael Hutchence. 9/10

Angel of Harlem: once again nice performance with Kylie snippet, bono possibly fuks up hes location once more, 7.5/10

SYCMIOYO: intro was good, great performance with audience singing whole way through 9/10

LAPOE: worst song on boot in terms of sound, larrys b-stage drums sound shit, and hard to hear edge's solo, 6.5/10

SBS: tribute to victims of Bali bombings was fitting, excellent performance, 9/10

BTBS: ur usual performance, 7.5/10

Miss Sarajevo: tribute for the aussie soldiers, nothing special which makes it stand out in my mind, 7.5/10

Pride: 7/10

Streets: loved the intro, solid performance of this epic song, 8.5/10

One: the irish drunk stuffs up he's location for the 3rd time i think, really pisses me off now that i think about it, seeing AAMI (60,000) people with their phones out was mind blowing, again, image is burnt into memory bank. The performance was also very well played, nice ending 8/10

Zoo Station: great performance, 8/10

The Fly: Nice snippets and solo as always, 7.5/10

WOWY: NO snippets is complete BS, bono kinds sounds like hes just talking the 1st half of the song, but still a great performance. "cmon Adelaide, give us a kiss" gota love it. 8.5/10

Saints: Good performance of the #1 single in Australia at that time.

Desire: probably the highlight of the night, (or kite) unbelivably good, bono talks about the band starting off, and directs the song form there, loooved it. 10/10

Kite: all good things have to come to an end, as did this concert. A brilliant finish like most 5th leg shows, was very happy/sad for me i guess thats how ud describe it, waiting 8 months for it then realising it was all over. the night brought nothing but great memories.

Sound

Not the best by a long shot, i havent heard many audience recordings b4 so i cant compare but it takes alot of points away from the boot.
Recording: Audience microphone - 3 stars

Audience

Audience sang along with all songs, although they sometimes overpowered the band, espescially the 'annoying lady', but she has the right to sing as loud as she wants as does the rest of the audience, its the poor quality of the recording which ruins this boot imo.

Overall

Probably being a little (or a lot) biast cause i was there, but still an amazing night, i loved it and will never forget it thanks to this boot, not as good as Sydney and melbourne only cause of the sound quality, but still a very respectable show from start to finish.
