Performance notes: This is just the second U2 concert ever in Nashville, 29 years and 7 months after the first. It is also the first U2 concert anywhere in the state of Tennessee since 14 May 1997, Memphis. The snippet of The Wanderer is quite lengthy, running to two verses. At the end of the show, Bono pulls a member of the crowd on stage to play guitar; he performs All I Want Is You with the band, dedicating it to his wife. Having not performed in Nashville in 30 years, along with the musical tradition of the city, U2 turned in what I would call a "very good paint-by-numbers performance".
This is one of the clearest sounding audience bootlegs I've heard. The only negatives I would give the audio quality are that Larry's bass drum is *a little* too pronounced and Adam's bass doesn't stand out too much; it's there, you just have to listen for it. Good mix of the audience, too. Bono's voice is so "present" and clear that it could pass for a commercial release at times. Recording: Audience microphone - 4.5 stars
Strong, intimate crowd considering that this was one of the smaller venues on the tour.
Between the overall audio quality and the fact that this show includes A) the only live performance of 'The Wanderer' to date, and B) the fan-played 'All I Want Is You' took place at this show, I would say this is one of the best handful of bootlegs from the tour.

Notes: this is a mono pull of the crew soundcheck (various channels) and Bono's IEM feed...the soundcheck really doesn't have much to offer but a lot of channel scanning (just to show you what a grind this can be), guitar riffs, and I nice story about a 300 pound girl with big boobs :) apparently the crew were joking out one of the guys for hooking up with a big girl in NY.
The show was great and it was a great experience to record the IEM....I learned a lot and this is proof that it ain't easy! The feed came in with litterally thousands of static type burst from what I think was caused by cell phone interference as I was in the middle of the field about mid way back (I wanted to get a good audience pull too)....next time I will go for the clean IEM feed instead...as I said, learning experience. I have included the unedited feed and my full remaster of the feed....It took about a month to clean up the sound to where it was even usable for a matrix (this remaster was not used in the matrix, it's much better now)....once I removed the bursts as much as I could, then I went back and played with the sound...I think it turned out pretty nice consisering...very listenable and one of the most enjoyable shows I attended on the 360 Tour....if you are looking for a super clean, stero sound, go download one of Sharebears wireless mixes or a Nuno source....just adjust the bass up a tad on your radio dial and go...
and BY ALL MEANS, if you can take the unedited files and make them sound better, PLEASE DO!
Big thanks go to Steve E. for buying the scanner, Sharebear for all of his tutorials and going out of his way to be helpfull, and to Drew W. and Nuno M. for all they have done. I don't want to leave out any of the other tapers and uploaders, so thank you all!
Tapers wishes: Please do not post on Dime, TTD, or any other torrent sites, I will upload myself. Feel free to do whatever you want with this recording, remix, remaster, matrix, video, I don't care...just don't post in mp3 and do not sell.

"The song was really where I was at, at the time. That was one of the lower points of my spiritual faith, I would have to say. The 'wake up dead man' phrase was borrowed from a chain-gang song. I came up with first verse and chorus. Bono wrote the rest."
- The Edge on Wake Up Dead Man

According to the promotional material for the song 'Beautiful Day', it's supposed to be about a guy who has lost everything and couldn't be happier.
