*mastering NOTES:
Pitch correction based on hum: reference is the 60Hz current.
First & last part needed correction of + 1/5 semi-tone; middle
part (roughly between ADWM and October) needed + 4/25 semi-tone.
Then after served its puropose, hum was removed.
A light de-noise was used as well as a de-click run to remove
occasional spikes and some clapping (certainly not all!).
Some whistles and screams were removed with Spectral Repair,
but this still remains a very loud crowd!
EQmatch reference = Paradiso 1989 re-broadcast.

Gloria still has occasional drop-outs of channels, and there is
not much to do about this. I did, however, dubbed the left
channel for the first 20 seconds or so.
Tape flip is right after I Will Follow and I made a crossfade
to connect with the remainder of the tape. The "encore break"
had already been spliced, but again I made a crossfade for a
somewhat smoother transition (no fade-in/fade-out!).

BIGGIRL 2018

#ORIGINAL NOTES (2014): As promised, this is the 2nd U2 master tape from
the collection.

My previous notes from the first post: This restoration project has been
in the works for several months. The tape was rescued from a dusty box of
old masters sourced from a long-time taper from the New Orleans area who
has been inactive for many years and is one of 2 U2 masters found in the
collection. Included in the torrent is a photo of the actual master tape
itself.

Although this show been pressed to silver many times over the years this
is the master version direct from the original analog tapes. I'm not sure
what gen/version the bootleg CDs are from.

I am posting this for a former taper who found and hunted down this tape.
He is asking for uncirculated REM 87/89, New Order 93, and select Rush shows.
If you have anything to offer please get in touch.

Notes from him (the inactive taper who tracked down and borrowed this tape):
I have been a trader / taper / collector for 25 years and have access to
masters from my collection as well as others. Many masters have never been
circulated or now only exist as high gen. Over the next few months I am
planning on posting these gems but I need some motivation. In the past I
have had other people post some shows for me with the polite request to
post some shows in return. I have been disappointed and frankly
disenchanted in the response to some of my offerings. Here we have U2 in
probably one of the most legendary early shows directly from the analog
master transferred in 2014. Please show the love, post freely or PM me is
you have any shows from these bands and years. If I get a good reply some
big surprises will go up.

Performance

A powerfull perfomance become from this four young men. This one is my first revision bootleg of the early years of U2 and the first time I listen Rejoice, Stories for Boys and Fire played live. This 3 songs are played very well as Twiligth and Out of Control. The Ocean is other great one
