1983-02-26 - Dundee, Scotland - Caird Hall

setlist

Comments: First performances of Two Hearts Beat As One, Seconds, Party Girl, and 40, and the last performance of Fire. Only time Like A Song is played. Amusingly, after Party Girl, Bono states that it was the song's "first, and probably last" performance - it has gone on to become U2's most performed b-side, with almost 200 performances to its name.

Performance

The band sounded very good.

Sound

It is what it is. You don't get very many good bootlegs this early on, except for Red Rocks.
Recording: "02/26/1983 - Dundee" - 3.5 stars

Audience

I couldn't really hear much of the audience based on this bootleg, but the recording isn't the best anyhow...

Overall

The only reason I gave this bootleg a 4 star rating is because Like A Song is performed live.

This is the one and only time the band ever performs it, so for that reason I think that this bootleg is really a treat to have. If you really can't stand the sound quality, especially if you're comparing it to Red Rocks, then at least take Like A Song from this bootleg. The sound is exactly as it says... average. However I will mention that even with the average sound, Like A Song still sounds amazing. I would just turn up the volume while playing it.

Personally it was the main reason I downloaded this one.
