Performance

A fantastic performance from the third and final leg of the Joshua Tree tour, with the band delivering another tight performance for the most part with everyone giving it their all at this show in particular, probably due to the show being filmed for Rattle and Hum that come out the following year. While there are a few off moments in the performance, such as mic problems during Gloria, Edge messing up the solo during Sunday Bloody Sunday, Ege messing up during the intro to Pride, a false start happening during Spanish Eyes, and I'm pretty sure Edge breaking a sting(?) near the end of the song, too it is a great performance with the flaws easily being overlooked due to everything else going well.

Bono's voice is also in fine form here as, by this point, while he still has problems on the higher notes and belts, these problems happen a lot less than they did on the previous two legs of the tour. However, he does have a minor issue with his falsettos here, which is audible during The Unforgettable Fire as he whispers them out, but for the most part, he holds up well despite having a few rough moments here and there.

Sound

A very clear-sounding recording due to being a soundboard, which also, by the sound of it, seems to be a low-generation one, which allows for a pleasant listening experience from start to finish. You can't get any better than this.
Recording: "Mountains And Deserts (Platinum Edition)" - 5 stars

Audience

I couldn't hear them for the most part due to the Soundboard mainly focussing on the band, although the parts where they were noticeable sounded very good.

Overall

Overall, a top performance from the final leg of the Joshua Tree tour, with everyone in fine form for the most part, delivering a killer show and giving it their all, delivering strong performances of practically everything in the set. This has instantly become one of my favourite shows from the tour and a go-to already due to it being a high-ranking performance from the era, which is also aided by a high-quality recording that allows the show to be enjoyed from start to finish. While there were a few mistakes, and I personally believe that Sunday Bloody Sunday was the weakest overall performance of the night, everything else was done exceptionally well. All-in-all a must-listen for the tour and one that deserves its high rating on this site.
