Performance

I wasn't really feeling the band performance, it felt very much like a middle of the leg autopilot. Mistakes in The Fly and Until the End of the World noticeable and the show just lacks the ZooTV passion that a lot of other shows had.

Edge is a bit sloppy, but Larry is on fire. The start of UTEOTW was really encouraging, they just ripped straight into it until Edge's mistake dampened it. Larry really didn't put a foot wrong in this show. Bono has a good show, particualrly during Wild Horses, but doesn't seem wholly into it.

Streets is great, particularly hearing the sound of the lights beaming on before the first verse. I'll never tire of hearing that version of Desire, but as germcevoy says not hearing the word "fuck" during Ultraviolet makes for a bit of a middling version.

It's an encouraging show, but nowhere near the powerhorse they were during the first two legs which leaves this show lingering somewhere near the relegation zone.

Sound

Apart from the odd audience dominance - as mentioned in audience participation and engagement - they band are pretty clear on the whole. The sound is a bit murky sometimes, but it does the job very well.
Recording: "Bono Is A Dinky Trabant" - 3.5 stars

Audience

I actually really liked the crowd, they seemed into it and at times were pretty loud. On the 'Dinky Trabant' show, the audience recording dominates the band occasionally, which goes to show how invested they were. They were all lucky to get tickets mind you.

Overall

Not really the ZooTV first leg show I was expecting but like all the shows on that tour it had its moments. One sounded fantastic in this show and all the classics before AB delivered too.
