Performance

A great but noticeably frontloaded performance from the band for the first of two nights in Toronto, featuring a mostly sound performance with few mistakes for the most part, with most of these being on Bono's end due to flubbing lyrics here and there which is sort of made up by him being in the usual Zoo TV vocal shape and the band once again delivering a tight musical performance throughout.

The opening Achtung Baby run of songs is where most of the show's highlights lie, with excellent renditions of The Fly, Even Better, Mysterious Ways, One, Until the End, New Year's Day, and Arms, with these performances featuring enthusiastic and unique changeups from Bono's side of things which despite some of these being minor changeups gives me the impression that Bono, in particular, was feeling it and enjoying this section of the show tonight. It's a shame this energy didn't follow into the next sections of the performance, as the energy noticeably dipped even with a few more highlights after this.

While the show soon returned to a standard performance, with the band and Bono not doing much, I still enjoyed the performances of I Still Haven't Found, and All I Want Is You on the B-Stage. Edge again created the instant highlight due to his fantastic playing on Bullet, which is always a highlight on this tour, and this show's renditions of Running To Stand Still, Ultra Violet, and With or Without You. However, Pride and Streets were noticeably messy to my ears, which may or may not be due to tech issues if I had to guess.

Sound

Average bootleg recording, which noticeably becomes slightly muddier in sound as the show progresses making specific details harder to hear however if you're familiar with bootlegs then it shouldn't be that bad.

Overall

Overall, a good but frontloaded show that once the Achtung Baby run of songs at the start of the show concludes with few highlights post this part of the show. While the band and Bono are in good form here, they don't seem to be using it to their fullest potential, which, just like the 2nd Philadelphia show, sets them down a bit as they do seem to be simply present from the B-Stage onwards but for the most part a fine performance from the band that gets the job done.
