1. Just get Daum's Potplayer. It plays EVERYTHING. Yes even HEVC x265 and 4k videos. And it's native 64bit so epic WIN.

    AND it lets you record the audio from whatever video is playing on it. So if you need that audio from said U2 DVD in PCM .wav, knock yourself out.

    Windows 10 LOVES Potplayer. So fast, so stable.

  3. Which is fair enough, people are allowed preferences. Have you looked for an extension for the browser you use that can download videos from YouTube? It's not something I do personally, so I can't assist. From what I gather in your first post, you need something that will prompt you to download directly from YouTube when you load a video? Right?
  4. Yep. Many of my friends have kids and can't spend a lot of time online so I do the odd dvd & cd for them now and again
  5. Dependent on which internet browser you use you could install an add-on. I use firefox and have one which downloads various video formats.
