You really are off base here. If I was gonna be busted, I would certainly rather be busted by venue security, than the bands security. The bands security in the past has taken gear, and would certainly be pissed about finding a receiver. The band might have said they are ok with bootlegs, but the management has never been OK with it.
They can easily make things more difficult for IEM tapers just by mixing up frequencies, and changing things around more frequently. They have already made some changes that make things harder, just in the last few weeks.

at least it should be sort of a democratic process. That would have had a chance to work. I wouldnt be surprised if the release of those paris IEM's is just a counter effect to a couple of guys trying to dictate what others should do.

For who? I would bet every show has had multiple tapers, both IEM and Audience. The vast majority are being "held" back just like every tour in the past. The majority of the recordings don't come out.
So far we have a whopping 4 IEM's, one of which was a pro job, the other 3 are all done with scanners. So the guys in the know (using receivers) have all successfully kept things under wraps.
