1. With the tour almost a week away, how will the band blow our minds this time? They've continually upgraded the concert experience and since they celebrating their seminal album, what to they have in store for us?

Even with all of the technological wizardry and elaborate stage designs, it is them, that we want to see. I wrote a post about how our boys keep setting the standard for a kick-@$$ rock show.

I'd love know what you think.
  2. The visuals from outside the stadium look really bright, the screen is huge so we will have to wait and see what they pull out of the bag

    It's gonna be awesome.
  4. Please use only one thread for your blog entries. No need to create one for every post.
    Cheers.
  5. Sure thing, my apologies. I'm still learning this whole blogging-thing. I definitely don't want to be that guy. Thank you.
  6. You definitely are that guy already...

    Spoiler (click to toggle)

...I mean that guy who still uses the stock avatar instead of customizing it

Another nice entry to your blog. But yes, better keep them centralized as César says (the other thread about your first '87 show would do fine I think)

PS. It's funny that you chose All Because Of You as the title. I have a curious relationship with that song; it's not my favourite from that album, not even close, but I have a certain love for it since it was the song that the band of my life were playing 5 meters away from me in the very moment I turned 15 during my first show. So hi five mate! You brought some good memories here

We're goin' up top (high-five), buddy! So, you were only 15 when you saw your first U2 show? Nice. I was 17, so I know the feeling of seeing a really big band while you're still young.

There's no better way to celebrate a birthday than with good friends at a U2 show. You must've been going crazy being so close. I was close, too. I was at the 4:00 position, on the rail, right outside the ellipse. Great memories.

I'll admit that ABOY is not my favorite also, but I'd loved it when it came out. The U2 video on that flatbed truck rolling through Manhattan is awesome.

P.S. I'm gonna work on getting a new avatar. And thanks for reading, buddy!

My first gig was the day before my 15th birthday, yes. And the last gig in my hometown to date 2005-08-11 - Madrid. I went with my parents (they're huge fans too since the mid 80s and attended several 80s and 90s shows) and it still ranks as one of the best nights of my life.

Good luck with your avatar hunt! Not easy to choose a good one
