Yes, I need to turn the volume of my amplifier way more up than with the remastered vinyl, but that is absolutely no punishment...
PS: I was a bit afraid that the long running time of these original sides would have compromised the sound quality, but the dynamics are absolutely fine. It always felt a bit strange to think The Joshua Tree as a 2xLP, (although I do understand the reasoning behind it).
(To be sure: In Gods Country is actually 2:57 - the label info of 3:57 is incorrect - so the running time of side 2 is approx. 26 min.)
