Yeah, when I listen to regular album order, I really miss The Fly after Zoo Station and MW between Real Thing and One... (if only there would be studio version of MW with that slide solo)

Interesting, Révan. I don't know if doing 1 album out of 3 makes much sense, I think it would be better to do a Songs Of Innocence AND Experience (last 2 albums in 1):

    01 - The Crystal Ballroom
    02 - Lights of Home
    03 - Cedarwood Road
04 - The Showman (Little More Better)
    05 - Sleep Like a Baby Tonight
06 - This is Where You Can Reach Me Now
    07 - Red Flag Day
    08 - Summer Of Love
09 - The Little Things That Give You Away
    10 - Every Breaking Wave
    11 - Raised by Wolves
    12 - The Troubles
13 - Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way
    Bonus track: Landlady

  4. In my world here, there were no JT B Sides, and the live album was separate, transforming a great U2 album into a even better one, so henceforth Hattle And Rum:
    Desire 2:58
    Angel Of Harlem 3:49
    Spanish Eyes 3:16
Luminous Times (Hold On To Love) 4:34
    Walk To The Water 4:49
    Deep In The Heart 4:31
    Silver And Gold 4:37
    Sweetest Thing 3:04
    Van Diemen's Land 3:06
    Hawkmoon 269 6:22
    Love Rescue Me 6:23
When Love Comes To Town 4:14
    Heartland 5:02
    God Part II 3:15
All I Want Is You 6:30
  5. And also, SOG, or
    Songs Of Guilt:
    1. "Lucifer's Hands" 3:55
    2. "Invisible" 4:41
    3. "Every Breaking Wave"(ACOUSTIC VERSION) 4:28
    4. "The Crystal Ballroom" 4:40
    5. "California (There Is No End to Love)" 3:26 (edit off some Bah Bah Barbara)
    6 "Ordinary Love" 3:41
    7. "This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now" 5:06
    8. "Volcano" 3:15
    9. "Raised by Wolves" 4:06
    10. "Cedarwood Road" 4:26
    11. "The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)" 4:16
    12. "Sleep Like a Baby Tonight" 5:02
    13. "Iris (Hold Me Close)" 5:20
    14. "Song for Someone" 3:47

SOI is by far my least favorite but if this were the album, it might rank a little higher, and even if it was still my least favorite, it is vastly improved...especially getting rid of the "Bah Bah Barbara" intro to California and fading it in just as that part ends, which I have done on the cd-r I made just like this.
  6. Songs Of Guilt I like it though. I also made a mix of California without the cringeworthy intro and stuck it into the CD that I burnt for the car, with an altered tracklist too (can't quite remember but I think it was as follows):

This is Where You Can Reach Me Now
    The Crystal Ballroom
    Iris (Hold Me Close)
California (There is no End to Love) [ intro-less mix ]
    Song for Someone
    The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)
    Volcano
    Lucifer's Hands
Sleep Like a Baby Tonight [alternate + album mix]
    Cedarwood Road
    Raised by Wolves
    The Troubles
Every Breaking Wave [piano + album mix]
  7. You guys leave California alone! It's perfect as-is. I love a song with good ba-ba-bas
  8. Since there's a thread about custom albums, I think there should be a thread for custom edits of tracks.

Sergio should be able to fill a few pages on his own...

I actually have warmed up to the Bah Bah Barbara intro, but still prefer it to be edited away. I also made a version with Reach Me Now as the opener, but changed it to Lucifer's Hands. I have different mixes of every album since 2000. I even have a version of Pop with Miss Sarajevo, and Hold Me, Thrill Me, Long Title Me, etc...which is nice.
  10. Here's my version of Rattle And Hum... to me this flows much better...

    Hawkmoon 269
    Desire [single version]
    Love Rescue Me
A Room At The Heartbreak Hotel
Van Dieman's Land [with extended outro]
    When Love Comes To Town
    Dancing Barefoot
    Jesus Christ
    Angel Of Harlem
    Unchained Melody
    God Part 2
    Heartland
    Everlasting Love
    Hallelujah Here She Comes
    All I Want Is You

My hope is that (one day, hopefully) when they reissue R&H that disc one will be something like what you’ve listed above and disc two is all the live tracks include in the film (and, if room, any live outtakes).
