    Yes, it has more 10s than SOI. Then again, I only strongly dislike 1 song from SOI, so I guess it depends on what you're looking for in an album and if for you having a bunch of excellent songs more than makes up for a few duds.

    Same principle for ranking as César - a 10 doesn't mean 'perfect', it means 'rocks my world.' For me a 6 pretty much means 'very average, I don't dislike it but I don't especially like it either.' Consequently, there are very few U2 songs I rate 6 or lower... Anyway...

    So averaged, it should be 8.6/10, but like most U2 albums it's greater than the sum of its parts - 10/10 for me. Already a major favourite.

    I'll try ranking them too... Which is much harder.

  3. I love SOI as well. It was magical to visit Dublin this summer and go to 9 Cedarwood Road with that song constantly playing in my mind.
    I like/love every song on the album. I think the boys are back in a big way with their last 2 efforts and the JT tour. I'm just glad we're all still here! Fan since '83.

    it's hard to rank it compared to the other 13 albums (i love them all) but i think it could be their best since the 90s.
  5. Landlady by far the best song on this album. Listening more and more to SOE I have to admit that American Soul isn't my kind of song.

    Overall SOE is a very good album, much better than SOI. Looking forward to hear the new songs live.
