  1. So this is an odd post because I don't want to come off as crazy or senile, but here it goes....

    I remember a pic of Bono as Mirror Ball Man with some sort of exaggerated "erection"/"protrusion" coming from the groin area on the silver pants. I remember laughing at it and wondering which show this was done at. I have looked for that pic online and I can't find it anywhere. I feel like I must've seen it in Pim's U2 live concert book which I can't find anywhere in my house. Weird!

    I've checked every Zoo TV era show on here & at U2gigs to see if this was mentioned and there's no mention of it. I recall the Sombrero hat on Mirror Ball Man and have found that pic with no issue. I remember the red Fly outfit from the 93 Zooropa tour dress rehearsal in Rotterdam. I also recall how some pics of the Mirror Ball Man outfit sometimes look gold. I'm not sure if it's the stage lighting or if there was an alternate color at some point. It definitely looks like those "gold" pics came from indoor shows in 92. I bring this up because maybe what I thought was a "protrusion" was some visual effect caused by stage lighting, but in the pic that I remember it clearly looked like it was made that way.

    Any ideas? I know that Nirvana fans can't find a specific pic of Kurt Cobain online. I don't remember which pic it was, but it sounds similar to what I am experiencing. I'll look up where I read about that.

    Anyone else have any strange U2 memories that you aren't sure were real or imagined?

    I should say that I've seen U2 in the Boston area about 25 times since the PopMart Tour and I'm not trolling here. Lol.

    This looked like it was sewn into the pants. It kind of looked like a Halloween costume where certain male & female body parts are exaggerated. It looked ridiculous and definitely fake.

  5. Haha. No, I've never done drugs. It must be the stage lighting. I wish that I could find the books to look through, but they're somewhere in storage in the basement.

    I wasn't insinuating about doing drugs. Would not advocate that! DMT is natural in the brain. Anyway, i have these books here and am leafing through.
