  1. Been to Cologne 1 and the last Dublin concert
What a difference. Cologne 1 was a standard-concert, still great. But people in our space were like at a funeral. Everybody was sitting still, some were nodding with their head. There were 2 girls standing from time to time and dancing a little, people behind them told them to sit back down. We (me and misses) didn't dare to stand up.
Dublin 4 was amazing, what a set (we got peppers in BD), what a vibe, what an atmosphere, everybody was dancing, even 2 old men some places beside us were dancing the roof off, phenomenal!
Too bad we got robbed that morning from our hotel-room during we went on breakfast. byebye 2 cellphones and a lot of money. Did report to the Garda. Hotel saw on cams entering the thief in the hotel. We just had bad luck. But we didn't let it come to our minds during the concert, we were there for 1 reason and that was having a super-time during a U2-concert and we chose the right concert.
In the airport we met a Bono look a like from Sheffield and he proposed to make a picture with us 2 with his cellphone, our only own memory on photo of the 2 days in Dublin. Fantastic person!
Hilarious, afterwards a woman asking us :" It isn't the real one he, isn't it?"
Almost wet our pants trying to give a serious answer. almost answered, yes it is, Bono always travels with Ryanair in plain public and eats chips with his wife in the terminal/gate.
  2. So sorry to hear you got robbed whilst here in Dublin, I wouldn’t hold out to much hope on the gardai doing much! I completely agree with your summary of the 4th and final Dublin show. It was a great night!
  3. We don't hope for anything, we know. But the Garda was very friendly and helpfull, that's already important for us.

As you said, there was a lovely community feel in our area. That's what counts the most for me and that's what makes a Show unique and perfect.

You Irish people are simply the best. I look forward to meet you again sometime in Dublin or Belfast and have a beer (or two) together.

That sounds like a plan!!! It might be a few years i think but when you are over for a U2 gig we should have a beer or ten!!!

  9. Truely wonderful Remy. Photography & Video can be such different disciplines. My primary focus is on Video (& Audio) & its hard enough trying to manage those in that I'm often having to accept some form of compromise. Your shots are very refreshing & I admire the artistry involved (& technical skills of course). I'm always amazed at what I can sometimes miss - even when I record video because I'm looking for & at different things (creatively, technically) compared to what a photographer may be on the look out for at any show. Thank you & to everyone else for sharing their brilliant pictures. You were right to leave your camera behind for Berlin in order to enjoy the show more - I'm a hypocrite saying that though because I don't know if I could!! I can't help wanting an archive of everything to look back on years later.. (I know - I need to get a life... - I'm probably getting too old for this anyway, so don't know how much longer I'll keep it up..). Anyway - great job...
