Private gigs as in paid corporate shows?Have U2 ever done anything like that?

(If they did, then the usual line/numbers suspects would somehow still find a way of manipulating the paying hosts to get front and centre positions lol )

Dreamfest 2016 was kind of a corporate show? Even if it was titled a benefit concert for a children’s hospital, I doubt they’d go without a fee.

Then again it was organised by Salesforce, who sponsored I+E. So maybe it was in return for that.

Yeah Dreamforce is an interesting one,not quite a regular fundraiser but certainly with corporate elements.I was thinking more along the lines of artists taking the money and doing private concerts for dubious dictators, royalty etc. While there's plenty in the U2 organisation motivated by money,I'd assume the band would never be as crass as that?!

    I've not decided yet

But just to be clear; that rumour about private gigs was just made up by me and very unlikely to happen

Also the Omaha show (Warren Buffet) last year and the casino show in Uncasville were sort of corporate shows.
