1. I'm leaning towards Dublin 3 at the moment... tight, pretty much flawless (which is kinda rare for this song) and everybody is really into it:

Edge also seemed to add new guitar parts to the ending as the tour moved to its end. Additions are always a success when I'm listening to the studio version and missing some live parts.

(No, I wasn't at this show)
  2. None. Edge hasn't gotten the tempo right in none of the 59 performances: he changes the chords 1 or 2 bars ahead or behind where it should happen.

If you're not a guitar player and ↑ that fact ↑ doesn't put you off like it does with me, Dublin3 is pretty flawless indeed. (And I was there lol)
  3. I am a guitar player actually (although I don't think that matters in any way), and I like the changes Edge brought to the song. The band was quite often all over the place tempo-wise (early live versions were a mess in that department), but I'm not noticing any major issues here.

Ah well, to each his own.
  4. My favourite Acrobat performances had:
    a) A great MacPhisto speech preceding them (eg NY3).
    b) Bono screaming as loud as possible: feel the ENEMYYYYY at the start.
    c) Bono screaming and putting rage/energy into the: every book has been.. READ!!!! part.

Manchester 2 he absolutely nailed c.
  5. I mean it’s ok but The Blackout is better live than Acrobat.

Great from a rarity point of view.

Well, instead of merging songs into each other like a concert (U22), why not try it with a song?
  7. Milan 1 and Dublin 4
  8. I go with Remy. He’s seen so many plus I was atbMsnchester 2 and it was quite brilliant.

I'm a guitarist, and even if you weren't I'm sure musical people picked up on what you mean - I know I definitely did, and at first I thought it was as you said and he was just getting it wrong, but as the tour went on and he did the same every night I have to say I ended up thinking he'd just changed the rhythm from how it is on the album - I doubt he'd get it wrong every single night, I think it's much more likely he'd just chosen to do the rhythm like that - just another perspective and to answer the question, I've only really listened to it at the concerts I was at (Hamburg 2 and Manchester 1) and at the time they were absolutely fantastic - best song after the intermission imo, although it didn't really have much competition given the other songs they played after the intermission (but here isn't the place for that discussion to expand)

  10. Manchester 1
  11. Don't really know where to put this, so I'll put it here.

Life & CO-VID got in the way, but I've finally uploaded a video of Acrobat I filmed at London 2.

Not sure which was the best version of Acrobat, but this was my favourite, as it was the only time I was at the e-stage, preferring the main stage.

Thanks to Lossless Joel for the audio, & the intro screen visuals, & Remy for the picture for the Youtube thumbnail.

    Enjoy reliving an AB masterpiece
