1. Edge's guitar solo in BTBS evolved drastically over the years, being experimental in the 90s and early 00s before returning to the album version for i+e and JT30. Which tour version do you prefer?
In terms of officially released U2 concerts I'd have to go with Zoo TV Sydney having the best solo, followed by Slane 2001. In contrast I find the Vertigo Chicago version to be flaccid and too clean/minimalistic.

  2. I really like the version of the popmart tour !
    it's my favorite U2 song
  3. I'm all for the Popmart version. Edge at his best.
  4. Zoo TV or Popmart
  5. Popmart might as well be the best version of Bullet overall, but regarding the solo there's nothing like Zoo TV.

There's nothing like Zoo TV... as a whole
  6. I like the ZooTV version with its faster tempo, but the Popmart version gets my vote... funkier
  7. As for "exceptional" versions (aka out of the solo's phrasing which which was pretty well defined and homogeneous from 1992 until 2001), Rotterdam 92 is pretty powerful. Edge loses the plot midway through and improvises pretty well.

There's a couple of others but this is the first one I could think of.

the attack is very good but after that becomes a little random!
  9. There is no better version than ZooRadio that is Toronto 92 AMEN
  10. Ive always loved zootv Adelaide 93. Bono falling over at the end adds to it lol
  11. Lakeland 1992... Edge was still developing his new solo.. So its very different than usual
  12. RDS,Dublin - 28th August 1993 hands down,no contest imho. And luckily enough they put in on the Stay (Faraway,So Close) CD single as an extra track (I was gonna say as a B-Side but I'd be showing my age lol) Constanly played that track after taping the broadcast at the time from the radio.Amazing version
