Bono would have to have a co-writer, at least for the musical composition. He was never a good guitar/piano player, but he could play those instruments passably enough to form a chord structure. Now he can’t even do that, so he’d definitely need some help.
Adam assumably can’t sing. We’ve never heard his singing voice, so he’s probably out. Larry can sing somewhat, but I don’t think he’s good enough at any other instruments to write any songs, plus honestly, neither Larry nor Adam seem like they’d be very good lyric writers.
I think they all need each other to be good, with the exception of Edge. Larry and Adam seem to prefer to devote time away from U2 to non-musical activities.
