1. Anyone else addicted to watching these on YouTube ? Find myself always looking for new ones . I love seeing people’s reaction to the band , especially ones that haven’t listened to the song before or even never heard of u2 .

  2. Yeah I've seen a couple of those. Don't like how the Dad talks through it though. Kinda ruins it.
  3. Yeah been watching a few of these this last few weeks for U2 and others.

The pausing and talking midway through is a way of breaking it up into chunks so they can avoid a copyright strike on monetised videos.

Some of them I have seen, seem to be fake and disingenuous imho - like they have definitely heard or know the song already.

But a lot of them also seem genuine and it's interesting to see the reactions.
  4. You can tell the dad is a big u2 fan , he does a live aid video as well

I watched someone do a live aid reaction and she says “ oh my god what’s happening does he know her “ when bono takes the girl from the crowd
  5. This video makes me happy. Reminds me of my reaction when I first saw the video.

  6. Seen loads of PJ ones shared on fan groups and I can't stand them. I don't see why somebody's reaction is entertaining.

No exaggeration goes on at all
  8. I can't judge if they're exaggerated or dramatised because I've never seen a reaction video in my life, mainly because

Reaction videos in general are for the talentless. I'm also very sceptical about these people having not seen or heard these things before.
  10. I have always enjoyed reactions of friends (or others I may have just met that are friends of friends) who are casual U2 fans, and may not know anything past Beautiful Day. I like to play for them songs like Original of the Species, Iris, The Troubles, This is Where you can Reach Me Now. I try and convince them to get past the standard U2 was good in the 80's & 90's, and just re-introduce the quality U2 has still in their late career.

    Yup, limited investment creatively.
