1. So I thought that for U2 the time has come to release a compilation of Greatest Hits even if in theory they have already done it with U218 in 2006 but more than anything else it was a compilation of their hits with some unreleased. My idea was to release a classic greatest hits record (for example Queen's Platinum Collection) and I thought of creating the playlist that I think would be perfect.

I'm surprised the record company or band haven't put out something like this as it's a pretty comprehensive list of their best known songs infact they haven't put out any sort of compilations since U218 in 2006 which is a bit odd for a band of their stature.

Solid but I would move 11 o’clock out and switch for electric co and/or out of control, and have I will follow be first. 11 o’clock is a weird starter and is more of a deluxe song idk
  6. Well I always seem to take it back to live u2 with just about any discussion so no point in breaking the habit here. I think a u2 live boxset featuring live versions of all there songs that they’ve played live would be amazing. The band have seemed more keen to release compilation albums when it comes to live audio. I think a 10 cd set would just about cover the album tracks they’ve played live, maybe stick in a few bonus tracks that aren’t on the albums. It would be a good opportunity for some previously unreleased live stuff. That would obviously be the main thing that there wouldn’t be any point just putting together versions that were already out there it would specifically need to be previously unreleased versions.
  7. Alternatively, U2:40 live - an album of their best 40 songs from 40+ years of shows. Now that's one I'd be willing to shell out some cash for.
  8. Yes and yes (to the last two posts).

We can make our own greatest hits compilations with Spotify or Apple Music. Releasing some fresh live tracks would be ideal… and if they could all segue into each other, even better!
  9. There's really no point in releasing a Best Of album anymore. Nobody buys any music now. Spotify, Apple etc all have their own U2 hits playlists. I know Apple has a "Hits" playlist, "Next Steps", and then "Deep Cuts". There's literally no reason to release another Best Of or Box set.
