1. Anyone else feeling short changed by bonos announcement that he hates u2 and his voice?
  2. Nope, he said both things a long time ago, just repeating himself. No different to a movie star that doesn’t watch or enjoy their own work. He was more specifically talking about his 80’s voice anyway.
  3. Nope, we all know Bono by now. I feel shortchanged by the media's lack or original content and generally derivative approach to life.
  4. He has said this many times in the past and how he dislikes his early vocal singing as well as unfinished lyrics. Old news to fans and a cheap shot and clickbait headline for the media.

This. Nothing new. I don't want to downplay his health scares and the resulting anxiety that might come with that, but Bono has always said stuff like this about disliking his own voice and persona from their early days through the Joshua Tree hype - that was the whole reason for the reinvention with AB, right? Or on U2 by U2 15 years ago when he said that Atomic Bomb was their "first rock album." Or that they were getting "closer to the song that they hear in their head" but weren't there yet...

If anything, I'll take these kinds of self-deprecating comments from Bono over the cringe-worthy "re-applying for the job of best band in the world" stuff from 2000. Ugh.
  6. First rule of thumb as a U2 fan is to ignore everything Bono says.
  7. So fools around here be taking him literally.
  8. I don’t know why anyone would doubt that he doesn’t like listening to himself or the name U2. It’s hardly ‘big’ news. It’s the play on words of you too he doesn’t like and a lot of people don’t like their voice in general. It would be different if he turned round and said the band were crap, that would be a big deal.
  9. I thought everyone already knew thisπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
    Maybe not πŸ˜‚
