  2. Thanks
  3. The Dafy mixes and remastered versions are very good and great bootleg recordings and mixes. Some versions are unbeatable in mixing. II don't think there is anything better. The taper Hoserama recording from Vancouver 2015 is equal to it.I havent realy hear so clear U2 music. The 1997.06.15 Edmonton (Dafy Mix) version is very big cinema.

    Thanks for the words.
Here are the Edmonton and Vancouver shows you talk about.

  6. What source did Dafy use for 2015 Vancouver?

Edit: it appears Dafy has taken several of my recordings/mixes and attempted to remix/remaster them without permission. I have asked for these recordings to be removed. Hopefully MountTemple aka U2Chile will be honorable and respect the taper requests.

I didn't notice at first glance. But he refers to the quote: "[...] Agradecimientos a Sharebear (Audio Taper), DJ Soulles (Audio Taper), Remy (Audio Taper), Jared Houser aka Tapeboy (Audio Taper) [...]"

The question is what mix did Dafy use? /shows/1704#!audio

I don't know if that's okay? When you raise the highs or the lows and then sell it or release it as a remaster/remastered mix on the web where you weren't even asked if Dafy could use it? One would have to compare it in the visible sine display, which version was taken.

    Just checked the files.

These following shows posted as "Dafy Mixes" are taken from my recordings/mixes without permission.

    5/14/2015 - Vancouver
    5/14/2017 - Seattle
    11/10/2018 - Dublin

I was able to recognize my own handiwork within seconds of listening to each. Looks like Dafy might have mixed in more audience recordings on top (which is silly b/c the original recording had the audience recordings already mixed in).

@MountTemple--please remove these three recordings from your site and any other locations. My original mixes can be found freely on the U2Start and U2Torrents website, which you can direct folks to download from.
  9. Call me naive, but how can a bootlegger complain about someone "stealing" his recording when it's originally been illicitly taken from a concert without band/promoters permission?

Because I, along with other tapers, spent tons of money and time to prepare these recordings. We then released them for free. One small request on that release was to not distribute any remixes/remasters without permission.

It's poor form to take those recordings, muck with them, and then release them as your own recording/mix. All it does is piss off folks who do the real work, and reduces likelihood of future releases.
