  1. The YouTube algorithm served it up to me too a few days ago, pretty nice. Although U2 do have a history of using limited backing tracks for accompaniment and even some very limited miming of vocals by Bono (for example, during much of the Elevation Tour, they used prerecorded vocals for the first verse of New York; they switched back to 100% live vocals for the 3rd leg performances of that song). See also - the Elevation "ooh-ooh"s when Bono wasn't capable of singing anything else in falsetto.

    Well people's jaws dropped when they originally announced that they were doing a residency and without their founding member, so I wouldn't rule them out going back there again at some point.

    The Whoo Ooohs of Elevation make sense to me (difficult to nail perfectly night in and night out).
    But the 1st verse of NY? That seems an odd one to me. Never heard about it before
  4. The first time I ever heard that song over 20 yrs ago, I knew it would be an opener to the show, but it didn’t do much for me, a simple 2 min tune to write and perform

  9. Still hoping for a home release of the show. Whatever they shot with 13 cameras hasn’t been used for the V Film show as that’s almost entirely one static shot

    Are you expecting them to announce more shows at the Sphere? Or does registrations equal "recordings"?
