1. Will U2 follow suit or will they not? How much are you willing to pay for a U2 ticket?

  2. I'd be extremely upset if they did it (th sadly it wouldn't surprise me). I'm lucky to have seen them twice already (born 1998) and I have friends who've never seen them before who would be unable to cough up the money for this

Hopefully the uproar over Springsteen causes them to take notice and take steps to do something about it

OTOH, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it was out of their control (or Ticketmaster coerced them into it)
  3. I hope not, but I wouldn’t rule it out. I’ve heard that the prices of concert tickets have gone up quite a bit since 2019.
  4. Who does this ‘Dynamic Pricing’ works?

Highest bidder got a ticket or something?
  5. When tickets go on sale they are priced at their lowest value. As demand builds up, and people log in and get in the queue prices go up quickly. So after a few minutes tickets hit a peak price and stay there, gradually dropping again as sales drop off.

Springsteens recent sales saw GA tickets hitting $2500 or higher right out of the gate. They haven’t really dropped off much yet. He’s probably not selling many at that price, so they should drop.

So u2.com presales may be at normal prices?
  7. I ain’t paying more than £100 for a GA. I don’t know if it’s better or worse that acts are playing the ‘we don’t deal with ticket pricing’ card. This is what happens when big acts sell their souls out to big leech firms like LivaNation. I hate what is happening l to the industry so I will vote with my wallet.
  8. Yeah that’s what appeared to happen with presale for Springsteen. Lower demand, so lower pricing. But a lot of people on a waitlist for Verified fan as well so not everyone could participate in the presale.
  9. I don't think there will be a U2 tour in 2023.
  10. I certainly hope that this won't happen. It really would take advantage of fans who jump in early and panic on and pay excessive amounts . I would hang in and wait , hopefully being able to jump in when prices reached the level that I was comfortable with .

Yeah. It’s hard to wait it out. But that’s really the best here. Wait for the demand to cool and prices to drop. Also pays to look toward less popular cities if travelling is in your plans.
  12. That’s part of the good thing about living in Ohio… very few concerts sell out quickly. I advise anyone having trouble in the big cities to wait out the market in cities like Cleveland or Columbus. I’m waiting out the Springsteen show in Columbus, eventually I’ll be able to get good seats at a lower price.
