I wouldn’t expect to hear a peep out of them before that.
I don't expect we'll be waiting very much longer for new music, even if its a smaller release like a single. Certainly not till the end of September.
  2. U2wanderer1 starting to sound optimistic, I like that!
  3. Sounds like things are going to get interesting soon then

Whilst we are likely to see them pop up with promotional appearances bit later this year, such as TV chat shows and the odd live performance associated with that etc. Is there any indication of anything more organised in terms shows / tour for this year? Or is 2027 looking like the main event?
Indoor shows they will have greater flexibility but if they are going for stadiums then running out of time for Europe this year. Window of opportunity in late 26 or early 27 for a run of stadiums in South America or Asia/Aus.

    Saint Patrick's Day?

    Good that it's new music

If they're going into the studio again next week I imagine things hinge on them getting the album done. Dates and venues do have to be pencilled in quite far in advance/ different options from promoters? Depeche Mode 2023/2024 tour planning started in 2021 with things being pencilled in, quite a bit in advance. The last time they started a proper tour before an album came out was TUF tour? Or Zooropa leg of Zoo TV if you count that? If the album is coming out in the autumn time then they could do shows in the southern hemisphere late this year/early next year but they always seem to do those places last. Not ideal for those fans, if it goes into 2028 then it would be over 10 years for South America and nearly 9 years for Australia/NZ etc.
  6. Have they contacted anyone for a tour yet?
  7. If I were to guess, album released sometime between September and December, with a tour starting in Europe in May or June 2027.
  8. They could probably throw in South America/mexico in early 2027 since that’s summer for them, and then do Europe in the summer, and North America in the fall.

They haven’t done Europe since 2018. South America since 2017. Demand will be very high there.
  9. Even though I'm always excited but at the same time a bit wary about new music - I'm always excited and never sceptical about a new tour

DISCLAIMER: as long as it's not a residency
  10. After the outrageous Harry Styles prices earlier it got me thinking about U2s next tour.

What would be the most amount you're willing to spend per ticket?

Mine would probably be £150 and that would have to be a, if not the, best seat available. Especially in a stadium setting.

If I do multiple shows then 1 show at £150 and the rest at cheaper categories.
  11. As long as they keep the previous ticket categories and don't cash in on the GA nonsense and have a separate early entry GA ticket I'll be happy. GA would be at least £125 ish I think.
  12. Paid £150 for front standing at Wembley for Bruce couple of year ago.
Same year paid £100 main GA at Wembley for Greenday.

Would expect U2 to price in a similar range.

Does seem to be the thing lately, is either VIP/premium with little to no extra benefits. Or a front standing / gold circle charged at a premium.

Harry Styles prices are crazy, glad it's not my cup of tea.
