1. Yearning for a tour, but the longer we have to wait, the more money I can save, so it's a win-win! It was interesting to see Harry Styles announcing his tour and selling tickets within the last few weeks, for dates in the summer, because since Covid, I've frequently seen artists putting tickets onsale almost a year ahead of the gig. Looking forward to seeing what U2 do.
  2. Harry Styles announced his tour on the Thursday with pre sale starting on the Monday. Akon and Neyo announced their tour on Tuesday with pre sale starting the day after.

I hope we get more notice. Although the U2song info will obviously help.

Yes... I bought Metallica ticket over a year in advance.

The only good thing about a big gap like that is there's more time for resale tickets to pop up?
  4. I’m just hoping they got closer to finishing the album this week!

  5. They were so gung-ho at the time on this being the dawn of new creative era of live concerts.
So I'm curious, do you suspect this because maybe they didn't enjoy the experience as much? (whether shows too static, geographically boring, playing to more tourists than fans)
Or more from the contractual side of not wanting to sign on again for it?
Or hearing the fan base backlash from rest of world outside America?
Or simply, "been the 1st to be there and done that" and not wanting to repeat themselves?
  6. .
  7. "Early 2027" Hmmmm.
  8. So another year with no U2 shows... Bummer.

I wonder if I'll want to go in 2027? Honestly, for me it will depend almost entirely on the new album. If they are songs I care about I will probably try to go. If not, I'm not sure I want to see my heroes as old men, trotting out the old classics.
  9. Thanks for sharing, u2wanderer1!

I wonder if this means they are considering starting the tour in South America in early 2027, and then moving to Europe for the summer.
  10. .
  11. Absence is not making the heart grow fonder.

If anything clashes with John Mayer then I’m picking John Mayer.
