I am of the same thinking.

But here you give a number 70 - why even give a number? That means to me that you want to get to 70

Bu what if you're 75 and you're still going strong or even 80?

Then those "numbers of years that aren't important" to you suddenly are

The number I came up with was just an example but if it was 50 or 70 it would be the same principle. We don’t have as much control about how long we live as we’d like to think. The people that drastically reduce their life expectancy do it through problems with things (like addictions) and that’s not really choosing or enjoying something anyway but if you can make a conscious decision to truly enjoy something realising it could take years away from you I don’t think that’s an issue especially when the years you would be trying to save if you were being healthier aren’t guaranteed anyway. I only make choices based on how I want to feel which is part of enjoying life but the number of years I get to live has nothing to do with the choices I make.
  4. AI thinks U2’s next tour will be summer of 26
  5. Finally got caught up on some of the "Upcoming Release" stuff on U2Songs:

    https://www.u2songs.com/news/u2s_upcoming_albums_and_tour

Covers all the quotes on the new U2 album. Edge's talk of Passengers 2, the Sci-Fi Folk album. A brief mention of the rock and roll album and Songs of Ascent, and then some recent quotes about the tour which is likely in 2026 or 2027 according to Adam Clayton, and dependent on having the album done.

Few little inside notes in there, but mostly tried to steer clear in order to get caught up.
  6. Edge: "I was wondering if we should do some club shows with the shadow album." Yes!!! FFS...

I hear Sci-fi folk and i think of Lights of home - SOS version
  10. RIGHT?!?! Even though I wouldn’t likely be at any of those shows, we need YouTube videos of these songs!!

    Shane MacGowan was his name.

I actually have been thinking about U2 creating an "Irish traditional album" for a very long time. At least as far back as this release linked below. They have done one-offs over the years but nothing quite solidified. Maybe dropping the early 'bluster' for SOS has led them in this direction.
