1. This whole The-Fly-as-a-bonus-track is driving me a bit mental. I’m thinking I might bite the bullet and pick one of these CDs up if I can find it for a good price… however, I gotta have The Fly.

IF we really think there’s a Part 2 to this release (do any of you believe this?) is there a chance that it would include The Fly - and I’m wasting my time trying to hunt down a Japanese import?

I don’t think they would release it again. I also have my doubts there will be a part 2. It would be kind of crappy of them to release another 5 songs on another vinyl when they could’ve just put it all together to begin with. Unless the next one is digital only.

I don’t disagree but this sort of thing has been done before - although I’m thinking of a couple of 90s releases from other bands (Pearl Jam’s three Dissident singles and Radiohead’s two My Iron Lung EP’s).

I’ll take the digital releases, btw. I just hope they include The Fly.
  4. probably next time it’s between something better or nothing

I don’t think there will be a part 2, not as another 5 song EP.

However it seems like this has been received very well by the fan base and sold well, so i can definitely see a full audio or video release of the Dublin 93 show at some point down the line.

At least PJ and Radiohead were clear from the start that there would be annual parts. Didn't U2 the same with Stay? As i remember part 2 came 2 weeks after pt 1

If you get it from cd Japan get it now because they only have 11 left in stock. The US Amazon site had it up for pre order with a sept 6th release day but now that listing is down.
  8. still waiting for my japan cd to land
  9. Picked up my Japan CD this morning. Ripping now.
  10. saw Billie Elish on Kimmel 2 night ago, and he asked her about only having 10 songs on her album, and found it interesting that she explained that because she wanted it released quickly in 3mnths timeframe, she had to keep it to only 1 vinyl rather than a 2 vinyl set (which would take longer than 3mths), and that she was limited to 44mins of music for 1 vinyl (split over 2 sides)
  11. I don't wanna be THAT guy, and I did enjoy the EP, but I was listening to the bootleg of the first dublin show (27th) and realized they've missed an opportunity to give UV a live release (from Zoo TV) cause it seemed like a decent version, even though I prefer the earlier versions with the mirrorball man, but anyway, a few adjustments here and there and they could make it as crispy as they like it. And imagine that tracklist, ZS, TF, MW, Stay, UV, LIB, pretty decent.

But nah, let's go with the same TTTYAATW from the recent AB 30 release, that'll do it

P.S.: Just want to take the opportunity to say that Zoo TV was great and all, HOWEVER, I just can't enjoy Macphisto's singing for Desire, totally killed it, especially compared to 1992 performances, so thank goodness it wasn't one of the picks
  12. If I was putting this EP together, I would have done the following:
    1 - Zoo Station
2 - The Fly (with Bono's guitar actually audible like the broadcast mix)
    3 - Mysterious Ways (with Bono's falsetto)
    4 - Stay
    5 - Love is Blindness
    6 - Ultraviolet (Japan Exclusive)

Dumb to include Arms when it was already on Achtung 30 IMO.

A fan actually edited Achtung 30 so it had no fades so I am hoping some fan will actually do that with this EP with the Fly in proper order of course.
