#29 - Unboxing the Atomic Bomb
In this special episode, we share our Chicago 2005 livestream afterthoughts and unbox the How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb 20th Anniversary box set. ..
  1. Two things I hope that are in the 8LP set:
    1. Download card - Songs Of Surrender didn't have one, fingers crossed this one does.

    2. Anti-static vinyl sleeves - They used to include good quality anti-static sleeves as well as the paper artwork ones in almost all of their releases. The more recent vinyl offerings only included the artwork sleeves. Hope they include both again, especially given the price.
  2. Lmao it seemed like Adam filmed that while really having to go to the washroom.
  3. I would also keep the focus on an anniversary album that has a song in which I had to spend my time re-recording it

Was nice to get confirmation that Larry has been in studio with them playing via Bono. Edge's interview had a large section talking about the dynamic of the band and how they are all still close and enjoy each other's company, and how they really want to capture that feeling of them all in a room together.

But the focus is very much on Atomic Bomb, and the remastered editions coming out in a couple of weeks. Most of the questions were directly about that. I did try to snip out the pieces about the future of the band for the article on U2Songs.
  5. U2W1, did the magazine reach out to you on this artcile? We know you sometimes don't tout your own horn.
  6. Although I have written professionally for Record Collector in the past, I wasn't part of the team on this issue.
