Honestly I was amazed by what I saw at the shows I went to. When that sun rose in the sky over the desert for "Streets" I had chills, and at times forgot I was inside. Other times you'd find yourself looking at things and trying to figure out how they did what they were doing.

Streets from sunrise to sunset then darkness complete with milky way was straight up stunning. You couldn't do that in any other venue

Moment of Surrender into Streets already grabbed me. But the visuals for it all? Stunning. I am 100% glad I did seats one night to see that piece from the stands. You don't get to take in the full view from the floor. And i was right against the wall, so had the opportunity to look across and see everyone in the venue as well which was nice for that moment...

I agree U2W1. From Zoo Station to The Fly “cube” to the crazy display for Even Better with so many Easter eggs to the other Easter Eggs (One as an example with the ZooTV nod), then on to Atomic City looking like you were literally looking outside and the tear down. Streets was a highlight to the transition into the WOWY orb was so cool. Some never worked well - the second iteration of Ultraviolet for one was probably the best of the four or five iterations with the bursts IMO. What was nice was it was not excessive throughout the show and you did get to focus on the music pretty easily.
  5. I lost count of the number of times I said wow, my jaw dropped and I giggled with excitement at the graphics for this show. They were stunning and U2W1 is absolutely spot on with his rebuke; the imagination and skill required to bring these to life has to be applauded not derided.
  6. I’ll die on this hill…

Sphere visuals are vastly overrated. Sphere sound vastly underrated.

They could have turned the screen off and hearing U2 live in that venue was well worth the price of admission. For a concert, Sphere sound is game changing. The screen is fun.

I agree that if it there was none that I’m sure it would be great. The graphics are really good and enhance the experience!

    Did you go?
  9. Anyone went and how's the sound? Does it sound like they're playing live?
  10. U2gigs posted several photos; theres a bunch of merch including posters for the film.
  11. Yes, and it was you that called the pictures and graphics "simple" in your post, "The images were simple jpgs, gifs and AI generated images. Get every little child on the computer."

10 people? The artists, the staff at Fuse working on the technical side, the special effects and production houses like ILM, Jem EFX, Treatment Studios...the Even Better than the Real Thing Elvis piece lists 29 people in the credits. The Atomic City devolving piece? ILM list 18 people in the credits. Fuse? 7. U2's own video crew working on the night to night filming and display of images? 14.

Hundreds of people worked on these videos. Even the graphics on the outside of the Sphere took dozens of people separate from those working on the inside pieces.
