    He should take a look at Metallica and when they released a demo of Enter Sandman.
    It's literally full of James Heatfield just humming the melody because he had not finished the lyrics.

    And it's so fucking nice to hear that process in the song making.

    I'm sure all of us would be happy to hear the unfinished demo versions and the new versions. There is space in the discs!

    It’s the same with The Beatles, when they released their Anthology series, or reissue deluxe editions of their albums, it is the work in progress songs from the 60’s, unfinished songs that they hadn’t quite worked out, which sounds great listening to them run through those songs.

    They don’t re-record them with Paul McCartney’s 2024 vocals and Ringos 2024 drums and put that on the reissue as the demos disc. We get the music and vocals from that time period.
  6. It would be different if they released the polished AND rough versions... Because at a certain point, why not just release the polished versions on a new album? They're no longer demos by that point.

    Exactly this.

    Release the polished version’s on a new album, and whichever album they are reissuing, just keep the demo’s/working songs disc full of songs that were recorded during that time period.
  8. This is the type of stuff I'd love to get a lot more of.. Vertigo with Fast Cars chorus.. I'm sure there are hours and hours from over the decades that would be fascinating to hear.. but, alas, probably not to be. I am happy that they are sharing some new/old? stuff with us though
