1. Thread for this song.
  2. It really is more Mercy than I thought it would have been. Some ropey vocals by Bono but otherwise it has held up ok.
  3. Old mercy vocals were better Imo but it is cool to hear it finally with good sound 👍
  4. So much talk about the vocals/lyrics (understandably) but for me, it’s the rhythm section that stands out on this. Top form!
  5. It's great to finally hear it full blast without any compression haha.
  6. Well the final product doesn't sound as bad as the previews made it seem.
Still a bad take for the first "ditches" part, and the previous lyrics were better, but overall a great song
  7. I think it's really disappointing that they changed the original vocals. None of the changes improve the song. The repetitive chorus lines clang. I completely miss the ending lyrics. And the passion of middle aged Bono (as opposed to current old Bono) is lost. My wife just said "that felt kind of neutered." Which describes a lot of U2s output over the last decade or so...

Doubt I'll listen to this one all that much.
  8. I like this Chorus, the song feels more coherent. I was never fussed about the hype of Mercy, always thought it was an okay tune that felt a bit empty sonically. But I have to Say LMITW works.
  9. I feel Lucky to be able to hear Mercy at its full glory at last...... It was a long 20 year wait !! Thanks U2, my all-time favorite band.
  10. "See, we still have the Original version, but since you don't like me as I am now, I will ruin everything you want from my better days!"

The old dude put more effort singing Country Mile, and hear me, he left Smile, Wait Forever, All Because 2 UNTOUCHED! Unbeliavable.
  11. I love it.
  12. Luckiest Man in the World and Every Breaking Wave should be standard songs at every concert.
