1. I don’t think we’ll ever hear that version again. This is it for the song. We got as close to Mercy as we’ll ever get as an official release. Time to leave it alone.

And personally I hope the 2010 version never shows its ugly head again

Yeah, I agree on that 2010 version. Not good at all.
  3. All they had to do was to release the 2004 version. But of course they couldn’t leave it alone 😕

I can't listen to any of the new Re-Assemble tracks in Dolby Atmos with Apple Music. The remaster of the original album plays fine though, not sure why.

    Back to Luckiest Man:
After a lot of listens, the drum track doesn't have a lot of clarity (to my ears anyway). Almost sounds like a lower quality mp3. I notice it mainly with the chorus, (the crashes and snare). Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks

The circulating Mercy demo from 2004 has always been lower quality audio than the rest of Dismantle. The drums are probably inferior because they were lifted from this demo. So your ears are correct.

Some of the songs for Reassemble for me were in Dolby Atmos and some weren't. I'm going to give it another listen tonight so will check again.
  7. I am playing this to death, sure the old lyrics and performance is marginally better but its a stream of consciousness, but its finally here and it might be my fav song by the band now.
  8. Definitely best song from Atomic Bomb era and one of the best songs since Pop ( for me, at least)
  9. Mercy, not this Remix, is one of the best songs U2 has ever created, no doubt.
